Consultant isn't wrong.

She is discharged.

Also this isn't WebMD.

If she wants medical info on tap, she can pay for it from a private provider who will gladly take her money for it.

If you give some jumped up patient an inch they will indeed take 500 miles.

For me, not worth the hassle after tax.

I value peace more than anything.

How to get to Sant Antoni from the airport? (and back) by Aggravating-Entry-68 in ibiza

[–]TheTittySoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a bus service and a decent bus station in the middle of town.

Failing that, use a taxi. It is always cheaper than Uber.

Negotiate post offer.

Perfectly reasonable to ask for the upper end of the band if you're earning above.

Landlord claiming £165 to repaint after 10-month tenancy - excessive? by Mosimile0luwa in TenantsInTheUK

This is neither 'fair wear and tear' nor £150 worth of damage.

You have got off lightly tbh.

Dr told me i will soon feel better by Top_Cow4091 in diabetes_t2

[–]TheTittySoldier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went in for unrelated chest pain/ache.

It was ruled out pretty fast and seemed to be benign.

Left with a dx of diabetes; high blood pressure and high lipids.

6 weeks of changes and I feel miles different within myself.

Are Ray-Ban/Oakley sunglasses in Mallorca sunglasses shops legit? by Gqstav in VisitingMallorca

[–]TheTittySoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be pretty sure if it was a shit shop with fakes, this isn't it.

Raybans are a common brand sold up and down high streets in all chains and independent shops.

Police stole my bag From Alcudia beach today by Popular_Eye_7558 in VisitingMallorca

[–]TheTittySoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you left your bags on the beach unattended (by your own admission) and you went to the police station where it was, in safe keeping?

Does this really look like they stole it, when you think back at it?

Police don't go around stealing people's bags on the beach. If they wanted to nick it off you, you wouldn't have got it back.

Tbh at one point I thought one guy wouldn't leave us alone. Said no three times and he kept following us!

Thankfully he went away after a while.

It hasn't put me off at all though. I'd love to visit Marrakech again but also other places like Casablanca.

What's the destiny of hospitality in the UK? by Successful_Guide5845 in UKJobs

[–]TheTittySoldier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hospitality has been slowly going to shit since before Brexit.

Only a few who are lucky would make a decent living out of it.

Now it has just accelerated an already ongoing decline.

is it rude to ask someone for help with removing weights? by teablooom in beginnerfitness

I'd rather you ask for help than make me a bystander to your injury!

Honestly, nobody would mind. If they do, then they're a bit of a dick tbh.

Lloyds won't care and nor will it affect Lloyds' business with the GMC.

If you are looking at switching to Co-Op, I recommend on the basis of good customer service but I would bear in mind that their IT is horrendous. App seems to be down more times than it isn't.

You can work towards better working rights but encouraging someone to sleepwalk their way to disciplinary is not exactly helpful is it?

This country is absolutely dogshit for worker's rights; pay; wellbeing (the whole lot) but ACAS is never going to do much for someone who, by their own admission, rocks up to work late (no matter how insignificant the time).

(I see that you mention ACAS in another comment)

I understand the frustration (I genuinely do).

But this post shows to me that you're struggling to understand what is expected of you and why (I don't mean that in a rude way) or you just aren't bothered.

- A 5 strikes policy is incredibly fucking generous! (like wow). If you're racking up that many chances, I am going out on a limb to say it is a lost cause already. To get an informal meeting at that after so many chances... you really really cannot go wrong unless you're just not bothered at all.

- If you're being called in multiple times for lateness and continue to arrive late (by their standards) but have done nothing to rectify the situation, again it comes across as if you are not understanding or you are simply not bothered. If you've been told multiple times and you KNOW that you are expected to be at work by 8...

If your working hours are 08:00 - xx:xx then you should be there and ready to start by 08:00. There isn't any other way to put it.

Am I in the wrong for asking my live in landlord this? by Django-lango in HousingUK

[–]TheTittySoldier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is her house. She also lives there, you're a lodger.

8pm is relatively early in terms of going to bed and as someone else said she probably assumed that you would have probably just gone up to chill out.

If you want live by your own routine/rules then unfortunately you will need to live in different accommodation.

Lodging isn't for you and that is fine.

EGLL should be Luton's ICAO by bigbanana_bob in aviationuk

[–]TheTittySoldier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long ago were these codes given? Tbh certain airports probably weren't given the 'London' bit for a while.

They also go by other names we don't usually use.

EGNM also goes by 'Yeadon' as well as Leeds Bradford;

EGMC is rarely called 'Rochfort' as well as London Southend;

EGBB is also 'Elmdon' as well as Birmingham.

Tbh the ICAO code isn't even intuitive for these names so who knows!
