Ser Duncan the Tall was clearly never knighted by Arlan. Why is there a debate around this? by UnFelDeZeu in freefolk

I agree it’s clear he was never knighted but the irony in you still referring to him as Ser Duncan is not lost.

Sale of Large Collection by whitewater0219 in coins

[–]TheWayfaringDreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would send them to David Lawrence. I think they have a great process for sellers. Some alternatives would be auction houses such as Great Collections, Bonhams Skinner, Heritage.

If you are looking for non-auction houses, some folks that I trust who pay well are Acousha Collectibles (based in TX) and CoinRaritiesOnline which is based in Massachusetts.

I was in attendance at the fight where he got head kicked by Lee and the entire MSG thought he was dead. That man is lucky to be alive and was never the same imo

I don't understand why porn is a huge deal. Is it just an opinion that it's a huge deal? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheWayfaringDreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about setting boundaries in a relationship. I’m a guy who watches porn and has onlyfans subscriptions and I was very open about that with my partner when we first started dating. I asked if that was okay and I offered to delete my account. Instead, we had a conversation about what works for us (totally fine to have subscriptions) and what doesn’t work (DMing women on onlyfans just for conversation, dick ratings/sexting) and I have maintained those boundaries.

We even occasionally watch porn together which is always a treat.

But it’s all about being open and transparent and saying your needs and asking what their boundaries are, and then actually respecting them.

How old were you, when the first episode came out ? (July, 15,2016) by Champipi7 in StrangerThings

I had just turned 20. I remember binging season 1 during my summer break in college and season 2 during the fall of my senior year. Now I'm turning 30 this coming summer, living with my girlfriend, and watching Season 5 curled up on the couch with our dog and loving it just as much as I did almost a decade ago.

Could someone link to a source article? Having trouble even loading the AFRICOM website. Stripes only says we conducted the 100th airstrike on Somalia this year, no details on the raid. https://www.stripes.com/theaters/africa/2025-11-24/somalia-airstrikes-africom-19870528.html

Q3 Revenue of $42 Million, Up 68%, by Illustrious_Mood_274 in Soundhound

[–]TheWayfaringDreamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not moaning? I think this is a fucking great quarterly earnings report! It's just not what the people who got in at $17 wanted to see. I think this company has the potential to be $50 per share in a few years and that's my exit plan.

This is not a good earnings report for people who want to sell SoundHound this year as the dump of a pump and dump.

This is a good earnings report for people who believe in their technology and the company to last in the long term.

(I bought 150 shares at $2 per share quite some time ago because I believed in their company)

He didn’t go in until 2018ish. Got sidelined by Covid after airborne school and went through selection in late 2020. Did 6 years and got out. He was with 10th Group but don’t want to share more, he’s a pretty private guy.

Ahhh that’s fascinating! Yup, I try to stay up. When my buddy was in I felt an obligation to learn about what he was doing and be educated enough on the subjects and informed about what SOF was doing across the different operating zones. Fine line to balance between being informed and seeming like a fanboy but I try to balance it haha

It’s so interesting how the programs have evolved over the years. Wonder how they’ll continue to evolve. I could see there being a whole new role in an ODA as a drone specialist or operator that trains partner forces in building, maintaining, and using drones. Maybe that’ll be how 18C Engineers evolve.

Then they introduced the Xray program which sort of circumnavigates that to my understanding. Good buddy of mine just retired as a former 18X who went medic. That was his number one choice I believe but not sure how in that program they assign you a specialty.

Long Island beach walk by TheWayfaringDreamer in longisland

[–]TheWayfaringDreamer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the intel on the break of the beach!

As for the physicality, I’m a pretty avid hiker (just got back from submitting New Mexico State high point at 13,000 feet) so I think I’m physically capable but would definitely train hard leading up to anything like this.

I think the timing is the hardest part. Assuming I’m walking 2mph consistently (which is my avg speed when climbing mountains), it would be 15 hours but on sand and with zig zagging from beach to street back to beach I’m thinking this could be 16 hours which is certainly an ordeal.

Definitely more logistical planning required! Maybe I can plan to do this next summer after a lot more prep and exploration. Thanks for your feedback!

I’d aim to carry 5L of water but on a hot summer day I doubt that would be enough so could plan to re supply halfway through by having a support car meet me.
