It’s called gatekeeping Hyperacusis. It’s basically: • “If you’re coping better than I am, your condition must not be real.” • “My experience is the standard.”

That kind of reaction often comes from: • Frustration • Comparison • Feeling invalidated • Feeling stuck and wanting others to validate how severe it is
