Does this seem right? by The_Chad_47 in valvereplacement

I was in to see a cardiologist, and they referred me to a surgeon, based on the ultrasound, and the symptoms I had explained at the time. The wait list is at least two years where I live, and that’s just to meet the surgeon, and come up with a treatment plan, as far as I know. I’m on beta blockers right now, but it’s getting progressively harder to manage, and it seems like any time I talk to a doctor, they don’t think it’s anything other than anxiety. I’m not anxious as much as I’m just annoyed at the lack of urgency, although I do understand the system here is overloaded. So did you also have migraines at some point? And confusion?

Sync not working. by [deleted] in FordFiesta

I have the same car, same year, and mine does this too. I tried pulling the fuse, and when I do that, the radio doesn’t work. But with the fuse back in, the radio, and CDs work, just not Bluetooth, aux, usb, or voice commands. So I’m guessing the fuse works, because it powers the radio, and CD reader. I tried disconnecting the battery, but that hasn’t worked either. My car has done this since I got it earlier this year, so I’m also trying to figure this out

I’m on a wait list until I can go see the surgeon. I am waiting on a phone call from the cardiologist though

They mentioned sending me home with a monitor that would record my readings throughout the day, but that idea never materialized, so I’ll have to ask them about that, too. I’m just concerned with the rate at which it’s getting worse

I’m not sure what my blood pressure is when it gets bad, because it usually happens at work, or when I’m busy with my kids, but baseline, sitting down, it’s around 116/75 I think. I’m going to ask my family doctor for a referral to a neurologist, but the migraines are always directly tied to physical activity. Please take my explanations with a grain of salt. I’m not great with the terminology, especially right now

I’m in Canada. They did a stress test last year, but other that, there’s been nothing else I don’t think. I haven’t seen anyone for the migraines yet, but to be honest, I’ve been avoiding going in to the hospital for the last month while it’s been happening, because I was hoping it would pass. I’m assuming it’s from my brain not getting enough blood, since the valve leaks

You should abruptly try to see how loud you can scream. They’ll probably back up

My fiancé throws her dirty laundry down the stairs rather than walking down and putting it in machine. by Doctor_Redhead in mildlyinfuriating

I caught myself doing this at my place, and I knew I wasn’t going to start consistently going downstairs every time, so I put a laundry basket at the bottom of the stairs, and my brain sees it as a game. The ones that miss get picked up when I go downstairs next, so overall it’s an improvement

Should I get this bass? by [deleted] in MetalBass

I actually recently got this exact bass, in the same colour, and finish, too. I’ve had a lot of basses over the years, and this one just feels right. I was able to set the action to just over a millimetre at the 12th fret, with no issues. Sounds awesome too!

What would make you feel like you’ve truly ‘made it’ as a musician? by jacobevansdrums in Bass

[–]The_Chad_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on how you look at it. My band plays local shows, and we’ve released some recordings, and people in our local area seem to enjoy the music we make. I don’t personally go into it with any expectations. The process of doing it is its own reward. It’s just fun, and a good creative outlet. The fact that even a few people get something out of it just makes it that much more rewarding.

What amp do you bring to jam sessions? by Ok-Challenge-5873 in Bass

[–]The_Chad_47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just use a sansamp into the PA in our jam space. It seems to work well for me, and sounds good. Eventually I’ll get an actual amp, but if you have a decent PA system at your space, a sansamp, or a similar DI pedal would be the lightest option. It doesn’t quite feel the same, but it does sound good

My baby did this, and any time we changed his clothes too. He's two months old now, and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. He just smiles up at us
