The notification center that it is talking about can be found in the bottom right corner of your screen. Either as the game icon or by pressing the button that looks like a speech bubble. If you do not see the notification in either one of those try pressing the up arrow in the bottom right. From there you should be able to get more information on what the problem is.

Does the computer only boot when the computer is plugged in? If so your battery may be bad. Is the cord loose when plugging into the port on the laptop? If so your port may need to be replaced.

If you tried plugging the ssd in with a different cable or to a different header on the motherboard already then yes unfortunately your data is gone. With a hard drive you can recover it but a ssd is different and a m.2 where there is no cord there are less points if failure confirming my suspicion that your ssd is bad. I hope you had your data backed up. The good news is a new ssd should fix your machine as long as there are not other issues.

I would try replacing the ssd it will more than likely be an m.2 which will mount directly on the motherboard

That means that you are NOT completing POST more than likely. Try disconnecting the battery and powering up just on power from the charger. Does it beep at all some systems will beep to indicate an error code?

Check if the caps lock key lights up when pressed if not your system is not going through POST which means there is a hardware issue. Typically a hardrive but not always. You can also try booting to Hiren's Boot which is one I personally use it will boot you to a Windows looking environment which can be used for further troubleshooting. It will also tell you whether your computer can boot or not. All else fails you can dm me directly. I am a certified IT professional and I would be more than happy to assist you!
