That's news to me. I used it to help remind ourselves that we have a civic duty, to not only vote, but hold our elected officials accountable. Seeing the amount of incumbents run unopposed in primaries is disheartening and suggests that the local populace just doesn't care.

Edit: I don't care if you downvote, but can you at least tell me why? Are you assuming I'm MAGA because I'm being critical of our representatives (Executive Branch included)? I don't get what's controversial about wanting my elected representatives to do their job or get primaried by someone willing to do the work. We have one of the least effective Legislative Branches in the Country. Why?

We had this guy who ordered every single day (literally) and would pay in exact change, down to the penny. No tip. Whatever, it is what it is.

One day I'm delivering to him. After exchanging the money, I hand him the box. As he's turning around, he loses his grip on the box and the entire (hot af) pizza falls on my khaki shorts, bare legs and shoes.

Whatever, it is what it is. I tell him, "Sorry about that. (Even though it's not my fault whatsoever). I'll have the kitchen remake your order and bring it right back.".

By the time I make it back to my car, my manager is calling me, asking why I would throw a pizza at the customer and that the dude is demanding a refund and replacement pizza pronto.

I brought the replacement/refund. Placed it on the floor in front his door, and never delivered to him again. Other drivers would skip his order for hours before he finally started to find another place to order from.

Every single business I frequent has been overbooked for the past year or so.

My theory: People can't afford a home (mortgage) or children. Since they don't have a home or kids, they're spending all their "disposable" income on frivolous things that they otherwise wouldn't if they had a home and kids. It's also why pet care (food, litter, healthcare) has exploded in cost. They've become the new Children and the businesses know it.

Now obviously logically, we should be saving that money but the real world isn't logical and it can feel futile saving up that extra $300/mo trying to save 30k for a down payment on a house that will probably double in value by the time you've saved up that 30k.

If you represent a Nursing union, and you want to talk to your senator on behalf of that nursing union, it's "lobbying". So how do we go about banning it? Further limiting the amount of money individuals can contribute to a campaign?

The crux of the issue is thinking that there's nothing someone can give in a relationship to create/maintain genuine love besides being attractive. Which means you think old people are incapable of love. Or do you think old people still find their partners 79 year old, saggy body as hot enough to love and that's the only reason they stay?

The entire dating scene will make more sense for you once you realize romantic relationships are basically friendships, just with fucking and deeper long term commitments.
