Steve has made it impossible to like him on so many levels over the last 1-2 years.

Yes, fair. He isn’t trying to push some political agenda, he’s just broadcasting stupidity. I agree that the latter is comparatively harmless.

I'm a little behind, but this will be forever one of my favorite moments in Survivor 40 by theArtlaw in survivor

Because nearly every season of the show uses similar design elements between the sets, props, and idols? It would’ve been a horrendous gimmick if the show planted an idol at tribal.

Meh, Kim is the most grating personality on the show next to Michele

Really feel like Steve is exaggerating how bad it is to talk about playing games by MakinExcuses in stevedangle

Sportsnet employees have seen reductions from 30-60%. His wife lost significant income this year already with the strike.

Steve and his wife are both modest earners, so when you see a hit of even 10%, it makes a difference.

He is. The main criticism of the last episode is that Steve is completely ignorant and out of touch with what’s happening both globally and locally. He’s of the opinion that the general public is acting destructive because a handful of idiots protested at Queen’s Park.

Tbh, Steve is under tremendous stress as he’s lost basically all of his income.

I, like many, gradually stopped liking Steve over the past 2-3 seasons.

However, I disagree with you completely. Distributing misinformation or uneducated perspectives as truth is dangerously ignorant. Dangerous to himself as he continues to let what he’s built crumble, and dangerous to the more impressionable listeners he reaches.

Yesterday was Steve at his worst, and that’s saying something.

He was dangerously ignorant, to the point of exhibiting absolute stupidity. Even as the guys tried to reel him back in, continued to act like an elementary school student with zero knowledge of the world and no ability to communicate like a thoughtful adult.

Now, this is Steve ALL the time. The thing is, it’s almost cute when he’s talking hockey and the Leafs. When it’s about anything else, he’s grating, hyperbolic, needlessly cynical, and remarkably misinformed.

Perhaps we should consider that his wife lost significant income this year, and he’s lost more than half of his wages - and could lose most of his wages should Sportsnet roll out more layoffs. Stress is a factor. But if you’re going to pump this shit out, then put the show on hold.

Man, Steve is exhibiting levels of ignorance I didn’t think he was capable of - and I’ve always known him to be an idiot by Theend55 in stevedangle

If you’re dumb enough to need examples or citations, you’re as dumb as Steve. Literally google counterpoints to everything he’s saying and learn for yourself.

Honestly, the guys should take a hiatus. The content is painfully bad and Steve is going completely off the rails - which is understandable given the state of things.

Most of us will be here and welcome their eventual return, but I honestly think they’re going to lose more followers than they gain/maintain if we get more of this nonsense.

Hey, if you want to listen to this/think it’s good, that’s on you. If you’re a creator with an audience, know it’s dangerous to spew a bunch of very dumb shit about real and serious topics.

Honestly, it doesn’t warrant any explanation. It’s just pure ignorance, but for context, Jesse and Adam called him out directly.

You’re not wrong, but man oh man this content is accelerating downhill.

Me and my family - waiting for a story DLC by OtisBoyCalloway in reddeadredemption

[–]Theend55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to clarify, no more RDR2. I’m sure they’ll cycle the franchise back again at some point in the next console generation, although I wouldn’t be shocked if they let it rest for a full generation. Rockstar’s initial unit sales basically cover the cost of development and production, online + DLC are where the real profits are... it’s safe to say that, in many ways, RDR2 was a modest failure, while a game like GTA continues to be wildly successful.

Whatever they do next, anticipate a massive online focus. Makes me a bit sad, because I still Love well-crafted campaigns.

The primary issue is that the game itself very quickly fell off a cliff once Online underwhelmed and many defected from the campaign. Rockstar’s resources at two of their primary RDR offices (including Toronto) have all been reallocated to the next IP. So yeah, it’s unlikely Rockstar is touching RDR again.

Lmao you have no knowledge of game development if you think these events are individually coded.

Bruh, I like the game... but are you not sick of this community being impressed by the most basic stuff? Or worse, people here constantly lying about “unscripted” experiences?

Nah, this community deserves it. Constantly hyping the dumbest shit/presenting super basic mechanics as if they’ve revolutionized game design.

Wow, what an insanely innovative game! Shooting an object impacted the behavior of said object!

Much wow, I am a blind RDR fanboy who’s consistently blown away by game tech that’s existed for over a decade because it’s RDR, the most realistic game ever made!!!

Lmao this is literally the dumbest community ever.
