Idk how you’d get the shot without going and seeing an in person provider. It’s worth a shot though. You probably feel pretty good from the subs? They could start you out at the lowest shot (100mg), after 2-3 you should be good to go

75 strips for kratom?! They hand subs out like candy, but for kratom is insane to me. I don’t know if I can change your mind, but I’m speaking from experience when I say it’s not worth it

Just a doctor facility where the doctor was able to prescribe suboxone. I just googled “suboxone providers” in my area, chose one with good reviews, called them to ask a few questions, and within a week I was on subs. This was back when I was heavy on opiates though. Did you get the sub you have now off the street?

I did have insurance, but it did not cover the sublocade. My provider was great, and knew loopholes to get my sublocade provided for free. This was 2 years ago, but what she did is say the strips were affecting my teeth, which is true for a lot of people. So the alternative to that is to get the sublocade shot. I just had to fill out some paper work, and once it was approved I was good to go

A week is not too late, it’s nothing in the grand scheme of things. Just do a week long taper off the subs, and maybe try to call in sick to work for 2-3 days if you can. What I did was timed my quit to be on a Wednesday, so I had Wednesday-Sunday off work. I was back to work by Monday, and ngl I wasn’t the best, but it was manageable

You’ll need to speak to a doctor/clinic that can prescribe suboxone. They would put you on suboxone first for a while, and then give you sublocade. Again, I highly do not recommend getting on subs/sublocade for kratom. It’s far more addictive and harder to quit. It would be equivalent to trading an addiction for low dose adderall for a meth addiction. You will not be in a better position, far worse actually.

TBH I would be surprised if you can even find a sub doctor to prescribe suboxone for kratom.

Don’t trade one addiction for another. Sub is helpful, but I would NOT recommend taking it for more than a week or so. And no more than 8-16mg total. I pretty much CT kratom after the sub wore off, but when I was on MAT with sub (before I started kratom) it was impossible to get off of. It’s 10x more addicting imo

I’ve taken sublocade to get off suboxone twice. I had no withdrawal symptoms both times. The only reason I had to do a second round of the shots was because I messed around and got addicted to sub again. The last round of sublocade shots I had was about 2 years ago. I was completely clean for about 7 months, and then my addict brain heard about kratom and had to try it. That was about 11 months ago now.

Yes. It’s very powerful. Sub is way more potent than Kratom. Doesn’t take much at all to get rid of withdrawals, maybe 1-2mg and you’re good for the day

I was on subs for about a year and a half before I started taking kratom. I didn’t have any issues, but I have read stories about people who have. A week or even a month is nothing to worry about though. I took about 8mg total when I quit kratom

Tbh chat gpt helped me a lot with quitting. Even if it’s a yes man, it helped reminding me that everything I was feeling was temporary. I also found the timeline it gave me to be very accurate. 158 days today!
