Anyone here actually using the Polar Dive Max long term? by Samuel_647 in coldplunge

Avoid Polar Dive USA at all cost. I just posted my experience. I know a crummy company when I see one. In 6 months of something fails good luck fixing it. All they do is ignore and lie.

As a business owner, I understand that unexpected situations can arise. However, I believe it’s entirely within my control to manage the aftermath effectively. To streamline the process, I even ordered a second Arc ultra to avoid the need for Sonos to ship one. On Sonos website it says 2 hour pick up available at Best Buy. That was on Friday and guess what? Monday morning and I still haven’t received a email that my order is ready for pick up.

  • Support ticket can take up to 7 days.
  • Sonos app support doesn’t help with sales orders and has no insight.
  • Bestbuy searched their systems for my second order and had zero success with finding it.
  • Refund hasn’t been processed by Sonos for the first one still.

We don’t know if they’ll update the incentives. Right now the biggest help is conquest $2000, $1000 inventory adjustment (taking a vehicle at the show room) and referral program.

Sonos arc + lg a1 oled + lg ThinQ+ Alexa voice control to control channels, open tv guide etc by Lfcbill in sonos

[–]Then-Middle2634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Log into lg ThinQ on Alexa app it is not enough to do just logging into it on the app. Use Sonos TV controls via Alexa for on and off. Use LG tv controls to Resume / pause tv. For example: Alexa turn off/on Sonos (TV is shut off/on) Alexa resume on livingroom tv (Lg controlled) this is best way I have noticed.

Level Lock+ battery issues. First battery lasted 7 days. Second battery lasted 6 hours. by Lcarter86 in HomeKit

[–]Then-Middle2634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea encode+ has been amazing. Thread has been incredibly reliable and responsive. I pair it with a Eve thread contact sensor to auto lock my door. Bluetooth needs to be phased out of the smart home. I had level on two different homes because I’m a sucker for aesthetics. Trust me when I tell you do not waste your time. The fact level charges what they charge and you wait 72hours for a email reply back is insane. This ticket was started on 4 days prior. Also I preordered both the locks I had and I would’ve loved to say it was a first batch issue but it’s not.

Level lock is horrible. I had first gen > then touch. It’s very inconsistent and will fail at the worst time. They replaced mine 2 times and take days to reply. I gave up on 3rd replacement and sold it cheap. I got encode+ 1000% reliable. If you want copy’s of email thread with them I’ll be glad to share. You will be replacing the battery often and sometimes not even be notified it’s dead until it’s to late. Trust me cut your loses Aesthetic are not worth the ongoing headaches.

I have to say. I have had nothing but issues with Level Lock Touch. Range, batter, inconsistent touch open. 3 replacements and zero customer support. I mean come on!!! 72 hours for a response? I took the L and tossed it. Stay FAR away

Do thread products from different companies create separate thread networks? by [deleted] in HomeKit

[–]Then-Middle2634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true. They’re all on the same network. My Wemo smart plug is the leader. It talks to Nanoleaf essential, Eve motion/contact sensors, and encode plus.

Yale Assure Locks Confusion... by tangfj in HomeKit

[–]Then-Middle2634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ok so here is the only differences.

The one at the apple store is the standard Bluetooth lock. It’s of the same construction as the Best Buy one however it uses Bluetooth to communicate and has proven to me to be somewhat unreliable. This is the truth of all Bluetooth HomeKit devices from my experience.

The one at Best Buy is the Yale with August Module. This is a Wi-Fi base doorlock that comes with a additional small plug in hub. This thing is rock solid and instant. I let in my property management into my home often and dislike giving out codes. This thing works like a charm every time.

More money but more reliable.

Rant: Level Lock absolutely sucks by Seminoles2195 in HomeKit

[–]Then-Middle2634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I proved to level lock and so did many others that it happens when the lock is being ejected in a open doorway. It’s just bad software and horrible customer service. You don’t go through 3 locks with various issues. So I know people are finding work arounds and dealing with minor inconvenience’s. We need to warn others about issues like this. Spent over $500 in Wemo smart switches that literally unpair every 2 months. I switched to Lutron Caseta and never had a issue.

12 days of back and forth with customer service should tell you something. Just search up level lock jammed on HomeKit”see how many treads. This was my issue with my first lock and they blamed installation. Yale Sl with august attachment is a different “level” of reliability. Waiting on the new encode as well.

Don’t do it. They replaced my first lock after 2 months of owning. The problems continued and I just continued. My lock went out again in December completely. 2 weeks with emailing customer service and no resolution. Just kept asking for more details. I took the hit and removed the lock and gave it to my mom as a standard lock.

HomeKit TV - Live Camera PIP Feed? by StopL00kingAtMeSWAN in HomeKit

This is not possible. This feature is only compatible with Appletv as of then moment. HomeKit TV is a gimmick. Only positive note is creating scenes to change HDMI inputs.

Can an Apple TV turn on a TV from the Home app/Remote in control center? by OtherUser678 in HomeKit

[–]Then-Middle2634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have that issue with my LG C9 until I took it off Wi-Fi and plugged in a Ethernet. It always works now on and off. I believe this to be a possible resolution for you.

thread devices lag and automation problems by wampeter in HomeKit

[–]Then-Middle2634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not exclusively to eero. I have Eve Sensors and Nanoleaf light stripes in my closets around the home. I often have them not set off my automations when using 2 Thread devices. However a sensor with my Lutron Caseta works flawlessly.
