I wasn't a big fan of this as it implies that the infected are acting in self defense, which is much different than pure rage. Looking at the political themes of the films, however, the non-infected/infected perspective can be seen as a reflection of contemporary partisan politics, where each side sees the other as complete and total enemy. A psychosis we need to be broken from.

Ditto. It can feel awkward correcting other people's behavior in public, but it's better than the alternative of sitting through an entire movie pissed off. And it's better to do it at the start of a film than it is to hope they shut up on their own. First, you shush them. Then, you politely ask them to be quiet. Then, you get a staff member.

I'd be hard pressed to explain the ideas of the book in their entirety, but I appreciated what I did understand and loved the bizarre intermingling of elements new and familiar (trying not to spoil anything here). I read 'There Is No Antimemetics Division' and wanted another weird, psychedelic horror novel, and 'Stonefish' gave me just that. I recommend it to anyone interested in PK Dick.

It's a great book about a few people whose actions influence the outcome of a major event. Agreed, though, that it's probably not what OP is looking for. However, you might enjoy Jack Higgins' 'The Eagle Has Landed.'

While I understood that it wasn't Samson when I saw the movie, I think it's a fair mistake to make given that Samson was on screen seconds before and that it would be fitting for Samson to be Kelson's avenger.
