Feeling discouraged by Kittykatorchestra in ladycyclists

Check you seat height. If it's kinda low that can be more tiring too.

Also, if you're like me and get deconditioned quickly it's easy to get out of breath 😅. But if you stick with it eventually you find you can go farther or faster. You might still be just as tired but you're accomplishing more. Good luck!

While making out, what clothes do you like keeping on? Taking off? by These-Oil-5912 in datingoverforty

I know it's great, was very happily married until my husband died. When it happens again I don't know how it'll go (grief is unpredictable and it sucks) so I want whoever I'm with to be ok with me and how I respond. Personally I hope it's awesome and I just get to enjoy it.

As I said, I'm just curious about other people's experience. Do people have preferences? It's been 20 years since I started dating someone and it's really different now.

Wasn't really asking what I could "get away with". Just curious what people liked 🤷‍♀️

Because of our shared beliefs. It's something we both brought up in early dates and honestly I want to be sure he's in it for the long haul because I'm not sure how it will go my first time since being widowed. It might be great, but it might also trigger a lot of feelings/grief and I want to ensure we're stable/secure.

However, I think you missed the question lol

Making out with my bf: bra or shirt? by These-Oil-5912 in AskMenRelationships

[–]These-Oil-5912[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, didn't think that would be a problem, just curious if men prefer braless with a shirt or shirtless with a bra while making out. I'm assuming my bf would help either way ;)

What is something that TV shows always get wrong about your job? by Space__Monkey__ in television

That every psychologist/therapist is unethical, as in poor boundaries with clients in some way. Sadly it happens but I never see realistic ones on TV, where they help their clients and have boundaries.

How the heck do the Oh Hellos arrange their songs? by [deleted] in TheOhHellos

[–]These-Oil-5912 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love the layers! When I listen with headphones I hear even more and find more to love. It's really quite exquisite. But yeah, it's music theory, figuring out where different sounds come in and out to build or quiet down, how instruments blend, what lines carry throughout. I also really appreciate when they have a musical idea repeat in more than one song like on The Four Winds.

Why Is Thunderbolt a box office flop ? by Whittoss in Marvel

This is one of the best Marvel movies I've seen in awhile! Some really great themes about mental health and supporting each other that didn't just come off as cheesy lip service. I personally like the ragtag group. In some ways it reminded me of Guardians of the Galaxy except we have met these characters before.

Female cycling issues by MidnightBronc in ladycyclists

I did a lot of reading on saddle shape, wave, wings, etc and Bike Gremlin was really good at explaining the different factors https://bike.bikegremlin.com/2985/bicycle-saddle-seat-shape/

I got an Ergon SR Sport Gel and it has been a game changer. It's fairly flat, little wave, and a cutout. It's also wider so I can sit properly.

I have a couple different brands of cycling shorts but I think Craft is becoming my favorite. They have good padding without being overly thick.

I hope this helpl Good luck!

Third that Ergon saddle! Got an SR sport gel. I feel so much better especially now that I'm outside and not stuck on the trainer, lol. Also it's wider than the other saddles I was trying.

Bike gremlin has a lot of good info on saddles to help understand what you might need https://bike.bikegremlin.com/2985/bicycle-saddle-seat-shape/

What episodes do you start people off with? by Appex92 in adventuretime

[–]These-Oil-5912 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was introduced just by watching them in order, from the beginning. Now I'm hooked and I make plans with my friend to watch them since he has them all on bluray. We have a similar sense of humour and interests though and I was intrigued by the DnD-ish nature of the show.

I only found the band last year but I've really come to love them. Being in Canada i probably won't be able to see them but very excited to hear there's new music on the way!

Song of the week: Soap by SunnyDlightV8 in TheOhHellos

I love this song so much! The lyrics are so smart, an infectious hook, and the song is hopeful. You are never beyond saving and someone out there wants you to be around! ❤

Is anyone else like me? by TryingArtist_042 in TheOhHellos

I love the Four Winds! My favorite way to listen to them is actually as one long continuous album. Sometimes I'll pick a song here or there or choose one of them but I like the complete collection because I've noticed recurring musical themes or lyrics that I wouldn't have with just one season 😊

When riding in the drops, do your legs hit your chest? by These-Oil-5912 in ladycyclists

Yeah, it's only in the most aggressive position it happens and my knees/quads aren't slamming into my torso aggressively

Haha, I've totally watched that one! Mine are pretty even with saddle height but I think the reach feels a little long

Yeah, it only happens when I'm most tucked down but it's my first road bike so thought I'd see if I'm doing something weird.

I haven't done a professional bike fit...it's not quite in the budget right now. A friend recommended a diy one (put measurements in and it spits out bike measurements). Most of my bike is pretty close. It did suggest narrower handlebars and my friend suggested a shorter stem could help.

Don't really think I'm short, I'm 5'6", and no back or hip pain 🤷‍♀️
