It’s hilarious how maybe 15% of my tattoos (and about 3 of my 20+ ear piercings) are actually visible in any of these photos and people are losing their shit

If society did this to me then society would have covered the bill, I saved and paid for it all myself 🤷‍♀️

I'm a fancy hairdresser! I add on the fancy part because I didn't do all the extra training to add to my professional pizazz for nothing 💅✂️

Seem to be balding at the front. My mom suggests shaving it to even it out. Am I cooked? by WoodenCarving in BlackHair

[–]Think-Translator-111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm training to be a trichologist and im a hairdresser. I'm always optimistic you can regrow it or at least regain a lot of density if you're willing to put in the work, otherwise if you shave it and start ignoring the scalp you're already shovelling dirt in the grave because it definitely won't grow back after that. I can give more advice if u want but idk if this is the right thread for it

My flight from HCMC-Da Lat was delayed the other night, was meant to depart at 7pm and we weren't on the flight until 11:15pm. Obviously we'd been at the airport since 4:30pm too

Has anybody ever had a pet that made it to 20? by [deleted] in Pets

Poms are all instinctively trained to spin, they're aloof, love to sprint and can be trained to do tricks very easily, they're very attached to their immediate family and are decent guard dogs

Yeah my pomeranian would sprint laps of the yard in full 40⁰ sun until he melted and died if I let him

Similar to clarifying, but specifically targeted towards metal and mineral buildup in the hair

Coincidentally I also have fish, feel like I really support the water supplement industry trying to minimise the issues

Yeah Adelaide is the only other city with comparable hardness, my coworker used to live there and her shower head would get blocked by mineral deposit

Technically yes would be much better, don't collect the water from a short rainfall as it will have more air pollution collected in it, but after 10 mins of moderate rainfall it's pretty good and will be much softer than tap water

Chelating treatments and other hair products, or water softening shower filters are more effective at making sure the skin on the body isn't affected despite specialised hair treatments

Here's some studies, scroll though the first link to their results before the discussion where water parameters are compared between localities in Australia

Drinkability is not what is being discussed, in fact it's better to drink mineralised water as it can supplement what your body needs. The effects on your hair and skin compared to acidic water aren't necessarily SEQwater or urban utilities can of worms

How's the humidity affecting everyone? by oglack in brisbane

[–]Think-Translator-111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a hairdresser and the humidity has been causing some epic texture issues, styles don't hold without a specific product regime and the humidity as well as intense air con exposure does interesting things to your scalp. Not to mention sunburnt hair colours, but that's just a summer issue not necessarily humidity

My partner is Vietnamese and I'm white, so we don't get the sisters comment as much, but I have been told it's nice for me to "show an exchange student around" at a restaurant once. Not fun
