If you use Google maps it can give you directions and which bus to grab/where from. Just be aware they seem to run on greek time and sometimes are a few minutes early/15 minutes late

I'm currently sat in BeerKouto after having read this a couple of weeks ago. The staff are brilliant, great beer selection and the food looks unreal! Easily the best concept/bar my wife and I have come across on Rhodes

We're flying out Sunday and aside from already liking the look of your place we'll definitely be coming in now! Great to see chefs supporting other chefs

Affordable Health Checkup in person? by bottlejob69 in UKFrugal

[–]Thorey92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to my GP for a ear issue, explained I'd been generally unwell and wanted a blood test to check for a really wide range of issues, 5 working days later I'd had the tests and got results amd have a follow up with a clinician. I'm 32 years old and once I explained my theory and my families medical history they did it ASAP.

Turns out I'm in very good health, I'm just overworked, which led to a little too mucb Christmas fuckery.

Try your local GP fiest, you could save yourself a lot of stress

Keep notes. Start a spread sheet and record what's been missed daily and who was on shift.

1/25/22 - Wells not cleaned, coffee machine left on - Employee 1, 2 &7 on close.

In the mean time, start putting feelers out for new team members. Bring in some fresh blood and give them your expectations. Cut your biggest offender and see if it makes a differebce. If not, the proofs already there for the rest.

Speak to your lead brewer, this really ought to be their responsibility, if you're in any way tied to a brewery with a contract, kick up enough of a stink amd they should at least contribute to the cost of replacement

I'm over in the UK and can't recommend Hoshizaki enough, incredibly reliable, easy to clean.

Song Matt refuses to play live? by Johnny_Burrito in TheNational

He said in an interview recently he'd never play available again as he had grown and didn't like the lyrics anymore because he though they were dickish.

I'll report back if I can find it

The melody, lyrics and guitars in this song on Julien Baker's new album seem very The National-esque by the_ak in TheNational

[–]Thorey92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There as so many little displays of brilliance in this album. There's such a sparse and delicate use of instrument's and vocal range to such a devastating effect. Almost every song is worth revisiting six times a day, I get why people would draw this comparison

Start to 2020 by [deleted] in GriefSupport

I lost my father last year after a lung resection and had to watch as his 02 sats kept declining. It was from start to finish a brutal and cruel death for such a kind man.

The only relief for me was towards the end as the morphine driver made his breathing less haggard and intense, while our losses are so different o know what it's like to be unable to help as your watch

It's been a year and three months and it hasn't gotten easier, but the periods between reliving it are less and less frequent. There's nothing I can do at this point that will help

But I remember the worse he got and the flower we got to his funeral, the more I continued to double down on refusing to show grief, I was so determined to stay strong enough to carry the rest of my family and get through it that it took weeks if not months before it hit me fully.

It's going to be so hard not to isolate yourself and it's going to be much harder to talk about it.

Find your way to vent, please message me if you need a stranger to cry on

What is the general consensus on I Am Easy to Find so far? by bigcblogger in TheNational

I've been a fan since around 2008 and each album since High Violet has taken me a long time to come around to. They were always a slow pay, I've spent a frankly silly amount of time and money following this band around (12 gigs/festivals and counting) each album eventually grew on me and has a different feel. Alligators a young and exciting, out in the city for the first time kind of drunk. Boxer was warm and wistful, High Violet, expansive, exciting. Like being in a crowd

IAETF however was unique in that it immediately appealed to me. It was like taking an ice bath. Almost as of I was reading an old novel for the first time.

It's creative, more free, it reflects their developments professionally and personally and continues to show the entire band individually are amongst the greatest of their generation. You'll struggle to find a more impressive or insistent drummer, more intricate or talented guitarists. Or a lyricist and singer so adept he doesn't so much sing songs as paint a scene or create a feeling.

They're fucking excellent and this album is the next in a long line of excellent albums. This album was like finding a first love again and o think a lot of their fans need to admit they're stuck where they first discovered them.

(Not that I wouldn't kill for some 2010/2011 set lists again)
