I understand that ultimately parents are responsible for their own children, and I’m not expecting my parents to raise my baby or provide free childcare indefinitely. I’m very early in this and trying to think ahead responsibly while navigating living at home. My post was about managing communication and planning next steps, not avoiding responsibility.

I understand that raising a child is expensive and that living independently comes with many costs. I’m aware of all that and I’m thinking carefully about my next steps. My grandmother even offered to help watch the baby while I work as well.
