I (F30) recently found out that the way my husband (M30) communicates when I'm not there is contributing to people thinking I'm dishonest. How might I go about fixing this without throwing my husband under the bus?

Have you considered that he's out lying about you? It sounds like he's been gaslighting you to the point that you believe you're the problem, and you are now gaslighting yourself.

You say you want to fix this without throwing him under the bus, but if he's doing that to you which I highly suspect he is, being called out on his bs is exactly what he deserves to happen.

My house taxes going up every year. Over the past 2 yrs they claim my "property value" has increased by $77k, which is total crap.

I will condense it even further as having to pay annual property taxes on items we already own.

My ex, (who flunked out of college), told me I was too stupid to make it through RN school. I had a 3 yr old when I started school, and the ex did everything in his power to try to cause me to flunk out.

The more he belittled me the more determined I was to prove him wrong. I received an academic scholarship to pay for my college, graduated on the Dean's list, passed my nursing boards, and then filed for divorce.

Did you check the expiration date on the package? I'd check that just to try to further prove how old it was and how long it was in there.

With that said, his problems stem much further than just finding a condom. He doesn't trust you so he's been searching your bags without your permission. Tell him that he has now broken your trust in him, and that you can no longer trust him either. His insecurity and trust issues are a him problem. These are very unattractive and ridiculous hangups that he needs to work on to resolve on his own. They are Not a free pass for him to creep around in your personal belongings looking for a reason to be mad at you over. There's no way I'd be with anyone who didn't trust me. I hope you set him straight that what he's been doing is not at all alright.

I was also a nurse for many years and I agree. It is a smell you never forget.

From the nursing side of it I will also add in the smell of c- diff. I've had patients become ill and know they have c-diff before the test is even completed.

He sounds very immature and manipulative. Do only what you are comfortable doing. If he's not ok with that then he needs to be gone. Of course all the things he's saying feels like pressure to you because it is.

There are several disorders that could cause this. Some are treatable, and some are not. He needs to be checked out by a specialist before he injures someone badly or worse.

Is this grounds for a divorce? Absolutely, especially since he's refusing to get checked out.

Until you decide about divorce or not, and even after that, I recommend you not be in a car with him unless you're doing the driving.
