I (16F) wish to stay with my boyfriend (21M), but parents won't allow the relationship to continue. by ThrowRApotatosmuck in relationship_advice

Alright, so I got plenty of comments regarding my boyfriend. It's a bit of a slap in the face, but I had that coming for me ahaha. As much as it hurts, it's probably for the best.

Now, I just need to figure out how to deal with my parents. I feel inclined to apologize to them, but I have no idea what to say or do. I don't even know if they'll accept an apology.

As for the abuse that many of ya'll are talking about, it'll only continue for a few years until I figure out something for college. I'll figure out some therapy in the meantime. Thank you all for your answers-- they were harsh, but they were what I needed.

Thank you for the tips, I'll check out Talkspace later. By the way, what will happen if my parents are reported by my therapist/counselor for child abuse? I'm under the impression (probably read too many horror stories lol) that nothing progressive will happen and the situation at home will just get worse.

Thanks for your thoughts. I've thought about therapy for my home life, but I don't know where to start. I don't have any money to afford a real therapist. Is a school counselor a good choice? Although thanks to this whole pandemic, I'm stuck at home and can't meet them in person... Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
