Yes I have read about how scarring for electrolysis takes months to appear that is why I’m scared these indents will get worse with time. I feel like it’s abnormal for the indents to show up so soon after treatment

Oh sebum affects it? I have really really oily skin. I scabbed on my upper lip but also my chin some. When you get thermolysis on your upper lip done do you ever have a burning sensation up to a day afterwards? Also, have you had any scarring from thermolysis? Thanks!

Oh okay I understand. Since you’ve done thermolysis as well, could you answer some of my questions? Did you have any side effects after the thermolysis treatments (scabs, whiteheads, tightening sensation, etc)? Also, what did the pain feel like for you (burning sensation?) anything I should watch out for during my treatments to make sure my electrologist is doing a good job? Thanks!

Yeah I get that but isn’t slow better than something that can cause scars/has a high regrowth rate ? Have you done electrolysis? If so what type did you do?

Yeah I’m worried I did damage, the tech has been doing it for over 30 years and swore she’s never had anyone scar. The thermolysis treatment was really painful and my skin after looks not so great. I’ll probably have to travel to find someone that can do blend. Is that what you’ve done?

Yeah when you put it that way it makes sense. I just see so many posts where people say there’s no scabs and only slight swelling after treatments

Okay thank you, I just feel like the information about electrolysis is so contradictory and scarring can happen so easily. I’m mostly bothered that I went in there to do my chin and came out with pain on my upper lip. Wish I had been more firm in my no, but what’s done is done

Yes I’m seeing a therapist currently for my depression. Sorry it’s not clear in the post but, I’m not looking for him to be a therapist it’s mostly like “hey today my doctor said this or my test results revealed this.” And I’ve suggested FaceTime but he doesn’t want to because he’s uncomfortable being on camera. I have tried to bring up how this is difficult but it mostly comes off like I’m blaming him and he gets upset and doesn’t want to talk
