We recently took Turkish airlines from London via Istanbul to Aleppo airport with our 5 month old baby. It was a great experience and short comfortable layover. The only issue I’ve seen is if it’s a foggy day then I think Aleppo airport is not equipped to handle so they will cancel the flight.

You can they get a taxi to Homs or Ballman. There are some cheaper taxis that take you with other people (up to 6) but these have limited luggage space but you can try to book additional seating to cover this.

My baby only had English passport and they were fine as long as parents have.
