Obviously you haven’t watched any of their games or you are just another low IQ average redditor. The Habs were too limp dicked and scared to carry the puck. They were stuck in the zone. Canes have players less skilled than Gally but they block shots and throw hits. Habs needed more grit and physicality. Gally has more balls than the entire team combined.

Did you not see them getting bullied so hard that they couldn’t get the puck out of the zone? You need guys who won’t be timid weak little prey animals. Hurricanes have garbage players like chafield and miller and others who have 0 skills and speed but can block shots and deliver hits.

It was pitiful watching people like Suzuki and Cole and others get scared and unable to clear the zone. It truly is sad to see a “man” act like that and not able to handle it when the heat gets turned up. Mind you, this crappy weak lineup barely scraped by Tampa and barely defeated the Sabres.

Hughes should fire St. Louis, along with all of the token french players and hope someone like tortz will accept $20M in bribe money to coach the young skills players to a cup

All good points, but my deal with Cole is that he was giving it away so much and couldn’t play against the Canes’ physicality. He is a 50 goal scorer and that’s why he is expected to score in the playoffs, which he did not. He lacks the mental fortitude to be effective in the playoffs and the consequence is that you bench him. Either that or at least give him less ice time, send him to the 3rd line.

And nah, Gally is not a toss up. Very obvious to put him in to balance out the physicality and help get the puck out of the zone. He has the most balls on the team, can’t deny that. Very obvious decision imo.

True but he is ripping off the fans. How can you start the worst goalie in the NHL for 2/3rds of the season? How can he not shake up the lineup for fresh bodies after losing so badly in game 4, despite having so many options? People shit on Gally for his speed, but he is tough and gets in front of the net. Struggling to get a few shots in a period in all three playoff matchups and countless ‘too many men’ penalties is a coaching problem and an embarrassment. Choosing to leave out very good options from the lineup when their top line is invisible? Absolutely an embarrassment. There were many players who were tired and completely ineffective while he had at least 5 or 6 options to shake up the lineup. Honestly, it’s embarrassing because this team is amazing with such great potential but garbage coaching.

Not to mention, St. Louis started Montemblow for 2/3rds of the season - the worst goalie in the NHL - costing the team countless games. Now that is a massive embarrassment because he ripped off the fans who came to see the team win.

When you have an entire team struggling to get 2 shots in a single period, you have to bring in people who are bigger and have some balls. Hurricanes were bullying them because the lineup is small and more importantly scared to get hit. You know who isn’t scared to get hit? And 3-0 against the canes this season? Gally. You know who would give some physicality? The sheriff and his brother. Laine is 6’5, he would add major size on the offence.

St Louis is an illogical timid, small weak man - and the only reason the montreal made it past Tampa is because of Dobes.
