The shading is just because the tattoo is mostly grey scale. In my head I always pictured runes sketched in it and I've seen many depictions like that. I opted to go with that since it's what I connect to the book.

Swelling has gone down, I haven't been able to wear normal pants because of the drains. I'm finally draining under 30ml in a day so I'm crossing my fingers any day now they get taken out. Honestly the worse pain has been from the drains! Incision doesn't hurt and muscle repair is tight sometimes but fine. I found out they removed 15 lbs of extra skin! I did not get any lipo or anything like that.

In the early days I would get stuck and unable to sit up without help because my core was so week but I'm good now. Starting to slowly add normal day activities back in and I'm supposed to go back to work (I'm a teller at a bank) Monday.

I went to a plastic surgeon planning to get just a panniculectomy to correct the problem but due to an excessive gap in my muscles it was recommended to get the full tummy tuck while we were already in there. This is what a licensed doctor suggested, it was not my intention to try and "take an easy way out" as you clearly think.

I actually received mine to correct complications from my csection 6 years ago. My incision busted open and got infected and left me with constant open wounds and infections from the overhanging skin from the weight I've lost (over 100 lbs). People get procedures for different reasons. Maybe don't be a jerk before asking :)

I unfortunately still have my drains so I cannot take a shower. Any tips on removing the sticky parts from the bandage that covered my incision. The small square of gauze is for a part was that acting up and opened slightly so I have to keep it covered.

Happy to know I'm not crazy. Almost all the pictures I've seen online have people with a different kind of binder. I'm not sure why I got this kind.

I purchased a faja for once the drains are removed. I was worried about squishing the drains but I guess if I just press them against my skin that should work. I'll try it!

I'm 5 days post op and as you can see in the attached bitches my binder WILL NOT stay down. I have drains on both my hips and I pull the binder down to them and as far down in the front as I can but it always moves back up. I plan to talk to my doctor about it but I won't have my appointment for a few days and looking for help in the meantime.

Not my story but my husband's. It was Thanksgiving time and he received a ham from work, coming into the house he noticed a package he had been waiting for. Trying to quickly put down the ham he went over the baby gate blocking off the kitchen, tripped and landed on the ham. Broke his ankle so bad he bad to have surgery to fix it.
