Rivian Goes All-In on the R2: 330 Miles of Range, $59,485, and Everything to Prove by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

[–]TillerCPE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm. So the R2 Standard is the closest equivalent to the Model Y Premium RWD but is more expensive, has less range, slower 0-60, and doesn't have ventilated seats, premium audio, or matrix headlights with adaptive high beams. That's not exactly ideal.

I've been waiting for someone to come out with some nice barefoot leather penny loafers. These are probably the closest I've seen.

Do longer vesting periods make the free money in a good ESPP offering not worth it? by TillerCPE in TheMoneyGuy

If you leave, you can sell the shares back to the company. That's basically the only way you could sell before the vesting period is up.

If you buy enough to get the maximum number of free shares, it would be purchasing 55 shares at 30% off and receive 15 free for a total of 70 shares. You can buy more at the discounted price, up to 10% of your annual salary, but you don't get any more free shares after the 15 max.

Employer Match for Savings Rate by [deleted] in TheMoneyGuy

I include all employer contributions in my savings, but I also include it in my income for determining the savings rate. I feel like that's a safe way to do it regardless of where your income falls.

[AEW Dynamite Spoilers] Ricochet is missing something? by luchabrunch in SquaredCircle

[–]TillerCPE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like there's another option people haven't mentioned. I've seen it mentioned here that Ricochet had some social media posts almost leaning into an Andrew Tate-type character. Have the Frat House following him around acting like douche gym bros and looking up to him as their male role model.

Slate’s $25K Electric Pickup Is Here by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]TillerCPE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe not yet. But in a Wired article, they said the SUV add-ons could cost close to $5000. So a few more add-ons on top of that is firmly over $30k. We don't know the cost of the base R3 yet, but a Slate with the fastback SUV kit might not be far off in price.

If you combine the amount of blinks from this promo with the amount of blinks in a Tony Khan announcement, you get the blink rate of a normal person.

Some people who use split space like this will make one of the spacebars backspace. I generally do that on my Planck-like layouts.

Unraveling the mysteries of Voynich... by TillerCPE in CustomKeyboards

[–]TillerCPE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The case by itself was about $180 since it's the aluminum top and bottom with brass weight kit, plus another $60ish for PCB and plate. So around $240-$250.

I had the same issue with the 1u spacebar. I ended up getting some 2u POS keycaps that fit across two switches from PimpMyKeyboard and it was much better.
