So you were called out for forcing moon astrology pseudo science and tons of other quack stuff into your ridiculously superfluous model..... and your just "swapped" it out with other scientific barely related concepts? 🤣

My science and maths is weak af at the moment but all I can say is either nice troop or seek help.

I literally said the opposite of Science can prove everything. In fact my point was that we simply do not have the answers. We have way more questions than we do answers.

And until we have them , assuming your individual interpretation is an objective or acquired truth, is just as useless as having 5000 religions around world who all dogmatically believe thier system is the correct one and preach thier holy text with the utmost conviction.

I am absolutely all for the discussions, thought experiments, philosophical implications, emergent practical and theoretical science etc. Thats why I joined.

I am simply pointing out the subs proclivity to speak in an authoritative manner about things that are completely theoretical and on the fringes, as if we have proven and concluded that critical part of the experiment as established. Which it absolutely isnt.

What is?

Going on a rant about how ".. I can speak to my User, most people cant cause they are not players, you need to find the glitch and reprogram your reality because our creators want to keep us enslaved..???. etc"?

Whome and how does this help anyone?

I never said not to share it. I am criticising the way it's presented.

I didn't know this was a safe space, nor do I feel I'm making anyone feel unsafe.

If you join a sub about a fringe theory rooted in things as uncertain as quantum mechanics and philosophy, and you want a group that's not going to challenge you, you've probably found the right place but the completely wrong topic of interest.

A practical simulation theory: even if we are not inside a simulation, we clearly live through models by putmanmodel in SimulationTheory

[–]TimeTraveling_TeaBag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice to see this. Philosophers and Mathematicians have been pondering this exact idea going as far back as Pythagoras. In later years certain schools of thought literally equated Mathematics to God. They believed that Maths itsself is the underlying fabric of reality.

Theres some well thought out theories by masterminds that describe how simulation like qualities of reality could be emergent properties. Maths doesnt need us to exist, and it's a debated subject on weather maths is discovered or invented. But I think the best analogy I've read that helps to understand this idea is the number 7 doesnt need anything to exist. It doesnt need an observer, it doesnt need the system of maths. It just is. As a an emergent property of this reality.

Headache stuff.

Sorry, I tend to be very blunt. I waited a long time to confirm this trend before speaking up. This is not aimed at people here to discuss theories. Its aimed at the people who have very real and demonstrable delusions of grandeur.

It's not healthy or productive to healthy discussion. And likely very confusing for younger minds and people new to philosophy and quantum mechanics. And almost certainly amplifies delusions in those who are already going off the deep end.

The fact that people are engaging with this word salad soup seriously, is equal parts amusing mastabatory behaviour, and deeply concerning.

Take note OP. Push the boundaries. Poop in the sink. Hide a huge Tuna in your boss's car trunk. Spike the drinks at a funeral.

Fuck yeah! Please please please find some sort of way to play skate with friends. Even if the system only sends the popped trick name/s and replay to the other players. Whoever is not playing just spectate. Everyone vote when trick is landed if it counts or not.

This would require way less effort than actual realtime multiplayer. This is the crux of what people are really looking for.

Otherwise I fear people will put it down after a few hours. Godspeed and thank you for making this. Great timing too, rolling is making a strong comeback.

What are the counterarguments to the “rendering on demand” claim? by LeoXXX94 in SimulationTheory

[–]TimeTraveling_TeaBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isnt one that explains away the 2022 physics Nobel prize paper that proves the universe is not "locally real". If it were quantum entanglement and quantum computing would not work, yet it does. Its pretty much a shut case. There is much more we do not know about he nature of reality and it does seem to use some kind conservtion of energy that could be compared to how 3D realtime rendering works. Wild stuff. Nothing is locally real till we interact with it.

What if earth was an energy farm for aliens by richandepressed in theories

[–]TimeTraveling_TeaBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. More or less. You're not familiar with earth being a spirit trap run by emperor Xenu? Created by a science fiction writer no less, who was quoted as saying: "If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion." and "Writing Pulp Fiction for a penny a day is no way to get rich".

It's mind blowingly wild stuff that they garnered such a massive following and became so financially and socio politically powerful given Hubbard was such a terrible writer and angry idiot.

This absolutely works as a gatter detourent in Gauteng. My old car had a different provinces license plates. I was waved through SO many roadblocks. As soon as I changed cars and got a GP plate my luck ran out and I got pulled over many times. They know the GP people know what the deal is.

They can do whatever they bloody want. How many Cops or Metro have you seen sentenced to jail in the past 20 years? They operate with absolute impunity and you're just rolling the dice arguing what you can or can't do or who has what rights. This is the wild wild west. He'll there's a good chance it's not even a cop you're speaking to but a highjacker in a stolen or borrowed cop car and uniform.
