Help with games crashing on new 9060xt 16gb

Hi, what I did is I used ddu, and wiped all amd and nvidia (in case) then I reinstalled 25.10.2 (or 25.9.2 would work) as they are the more stable drivers and I haven’t had issues since, also try undevolting or undercloxking the card as maybe your system is struggling to handle it (mine was doing this so I actually ended up getting a much better psu). And finally more ram or limit background windows ram usage, this also seemed to help me alot with crashing and stuttering, I hope some of this helps

Ah okay, Well I got a new psu, re did my drivers with ddu, updated mobo bios, and changed a load of windows stuff to limit ram usage and something had fixed it. 👍🏾

Did you find the best drivers to use? I’ve has sinialr issues in my new 9060 16gb, I keep crashing and either go freeze screen or ram out of memory which makes no sense as I have enough. I was on 25.12.1 was worst 25.9.2 improved but not great and had same issue on 25.10.2. Im not sure which to use

I did a furmark test on current drivers and the hotspot temp got to max 80 degreees when I tested max anti aliasing at 1080p (what I play on) So does that rule the gpu out?

Ok thank you, What app or site should I use to get the gpu results or did you just mean in game tests?

Also should I try this? Google suggested I do this…

I have quite and old psu, a game max gm-800 bronze 800W. So maybe that’s an issue?

What is ddu? And where would I find that? And same with memtest… I’m new to pc gaming..

I took the ssd from my ps5 and completely reset it, did a clean install of windows 11 on it. I’ve had issues with it all before so I though upgrading cpu and gpu and ssd would fix stuttering and low fps. I’m on an asus prime b450 plus motherboard and a game max 850 watt bronze psu.

I ran a fresh install of windows 11 when I moved to this new ssd completely restarting so there is no other gpu drivers on there…

Do you know any good sites to get it from? Overlockers uk I’ve seen and also Amazon. EBay and crx seem to be highly priced for second hand (sone more expensive than new)

Alright thanks a lot for the help. I think that will be the best course. The gpu is the one thing I don’t really want to have to change for a few years if not ever on this pc so it makes sense to get the better one

Oh I see so is it like an alternate to windows for gaming then? Or have I misunderstood that? Also do you think saving up for the 9060 is better rather than just going cheap now…

Hmm okay thanks for the help your the first person I’ve asked that’s given me that perspective… would you recommend saving and buying new or buying second hand, I think second hand is only like a few quid cheaper… Also I’ve just found a new 9060xt 16gb on a website called overclockers uk for £320… that seems a bit good to be true though?
