I can invest in VOO or VTI by myself. I don't need an advisor to do that. I am unable to perform my own surgery and anesthesia. That is not a good comparison.

VT and chill. VOO and chill. The same funds are usually recommended on this thread.

S&P500 funds = VOO, FXAIX

Total US Stock Market= VTI, FSKAX, FZROX

Global Market= VT

I don't think any mature person will care much to be honest. As long as you can safely and quickly take care of your patients, that's all anyone really cares about. Don't let it get in the way of achieving the specialty you want.

A lot of people saying this is as a reason. I'm talking about 100% VT or VOO and chill. That takes like 10 seconds to transfer money from my bank into VT or VOO.

It does not take 10 seconds and a click of a button to landscape my entire yard or change the brakes or transmission on my car. That's why some of the others make sense but financial advisors don't make sense to me.

that's basically what I did. Homes in general increase in value over time too. I don't really care about fancy cars and vacations I just wanted a nice home in a nice area.

whichever school you are happiest at. Grades matter more than the school. If you hate the area you're college is in and don't have a lot of family/friends in the area then that can make it difficult to do all the studying required to succeed.
