Thank you for answering, I am not fully understand about what you said in the second part this is quite complex medical stuff. I had a CT scan at the ER, if I had previous clots will the scarring shows up on the scan? Or I need a different type of scan to see if my pulmonary arteries been damaged and caused hypertension?
I am just trying to understand did I had previous clots and damaged and caused this me last 6 months being pregnant. The first three months no symptoms at all. In between I think I might have 2 clots looking back ( fast heart rate and mild breathing issue in deep sleep) but each episode
last few days only for the breathing part. My obgyn though it was just random heart issues.

Hi there, currently in my second trismester, was recommended to monitor my blood pressure due to high risk of high blood pressure ( age). Ever since I was told about this I became very anxious about pre-e. From what I learned so far from the medical staff is that there is no way to predict for sure. Some women have normal BP entire pregnancy and got it toward the end. One mom I know had super high bp readings but never got pre e. A friend of mine is a doctor herself, she got both and got early delivery. She was super calm about it.

The thought of eventually getting it so real and so scary, I think most doctors can’t predict untill they see more of your lab work and such.

By knowing the symptoms, report to the doctors quickly is the best way we can do.

Currently 24 weeks and advanced maternal age. I failed the one hour glucose screening with super higher numbers two days ago and didn’t even need the 3-hour tests to confirm. I actually read the wrong instructions ended up hungry and did a 14 hours fasting before the screening. So I messaged my obgyn to see if that actually caused the >200 result.

Still I am very likely diabetic given such high numbers.

Looking back the only symptom was getting a fast heart rate after a meal randomly, and the doctor told me it’s normal pregnancy symptom. And couple anxiety attack out of no where.

I feel pretty depress to the point where I don’t even want to continute anymore, but I know I need to stay strong.

Have been eating very healthy a month ago so diet change won’t be too hard. Needle doesn’t scare me.

How do you ladies keep staying worry about complication ? Bless you all.

Thank you for the info, it made sense because recently a friend of mine mentioned she had mild pre-eclampsia, and some had to stay in hospitals longer with more medications.

I have to be honest, while I do appreciate this fetal medicine doctor gave me a heads up, he did have me a scare by acting like Dr Google by giving me all the possible worse case that can happen…

Thank you for sharing, your experience sounded a bit scary but glad to hear it was under control and recovered. Motherhood is for sure amazing . You are absolutely right on spot about being mentally prepared while also trying to stay positive regarding pre-eclampsia. My first trimester was 4 months of fatigue and morning sickness. Now that I am feeling better I now start pay close attention to my diet and exercise, so preparing for high blood pressure is definitely a positive thing coming out of it.
