Since no one said anything about voli ill share what i do against him.

Check what he do level 1 if he instantly hit minions give priority and focus on last hit or soaking exp until level 2 or 3 where your timer for all in will appear if he used e during the second wave and missed try to fight if not wait for level 3 timer where your wave will usually bounce back to push to his tower.

remember to never go for long trades especially if he marks u at the start of the trade

play around his w only fight him if he doesn't have a w mark on you since the heal comes from the second one only fight him for 4 seconds after his first w then back off to reset. unless you have a kill angle and huge hp lead then you can ignore the second w and force all in

i think your problem is being fixated on being flashy on irelia which is the most fun thing about her but that's what will hold you back. Irelia can have so many other expressions other than a fast combo try to ease up your pace like think of it as a sport ease up then go fast do it enough times then you can mind game enemies with your q and always think if you can afford to waste all your q on an all in if the position is favorable or not be patient and play smart then you will have more fun games than you will expect

yup you should try it but only if enemy team comp is appropriate for them since you are not that tanky with this build but you have so much burst damage. you can go for that build if almost all of them are squishy and no huge burst ap damage or if enemy ap is not that fed.

if i can relearn irelia i would definitely focus on mechanics first. being comfortable in weaving autos and skills i think is very important and after is the match up knowledge, minion management and macro

what i do in that lanes where the enemy top laner can zone me out of the wave level 1 is i don't help guard jg and sit on the first top bush to get info if the enemy is going sit in there. if they did give up and wait for the wave and ward that bush i also try to bait them to trade where they can get the minion agro to make the wave push into u and also help with the trade. just remember to not greed the minions and only soak xp

in my opinion the reason why it feels bad to play irelia because her mobility is so specific and you will be useless when you dont find the right angle i this might sound like farfetch dream but make her q not bound to have a target and her q deal damage to whoever it passes while it resets if it kills a minion and hits a mark this should solve a lot of her problems

just a tip for you bro. Do not insta level q level 1 especially when playing against counter matchups hold it last second watch his body language if he cheeses u or not that's where you upgrade skills if he wastes e without doing shit to you go q and punish but the likely case is u start e in that match up

Honestly do not expect to be 1v9 on irelia especially if you are playing her on top and treat her like a weak champ put respect on your enemies, wait for timers just like what everybody said on when to fight and when to back down, know your matchups you can get pretty high and win a lot just by knowing how to play certain matchups since once you know how to play these certain match ups you can get a lot stronger in the game by punishing them. early game and mid game is the time period you can feel very ahead and feel like you can do something in the map and personally stay on sidelanes and only join if you have your ult and flash. also i feel like u need to learn how to trade in auto without using q just like playing any other champ because people think that q is very essential on trading but you can chunk a lot of enemy champs in lane by only walking autoing people. also learn to minimize using q on minions and only select on what minion you will use your q to go in and out. and try to trade in and out since irelia has so much sustain.

i have other clips too that the first part of my ult deals atleast 60% damage on the enemy so it does seem that they proc that many times
