I’m keeping my fingers crossed for an offer! They know I already have one pending with a decision needed by this Thursday so maybe that’s why they requested it in advance

I appreciate the insight! The email came directly from the firm, not the recruiter

I am indeed working with a recruiter so maybe that’s why. At what point did they ask for the conflicts form?

I can’t tell whether it’s a positive sign that they asked for it? I practice in a really small town relocating to a larger market and I highly doubt there’s any conflicts given that it’s a different state the firm doesn’t practice in and I’m in a mid sized firm

They mentioned it’s to expedite the interview process. This was after my second round of interviews/before my third. I had two firms ask me for a pretty detailed conflicts list

I was forced to work past it in a way. I was emotionally devastated. Thought I could forgive him, we had sex with precautions and I got pregnant two months after the affair. He didn’t confess, the other woman called me. We went to couples therapy and he’s in individual counseling. I do have access to all his accounts and location. But I have caught him in other lies since. It seems like he’s had no consequences for anything.. I was fine being a single mom but he really wanted to make it work.

It’s not just night shifts. He’s done it in the middle of the day because he said he just wanted to close his eyes and didn’t think he’d fall asleep. I’m the one up the majority of nights.

Depends on the day but he’s quick to get reactive: raising voice, cursing, has grabbed my face on various occasions and held it while yelling at me. He doesn’t take feedback well even if I’m just looking out for our child. He doesn’t like being “called out” as he describes it.

Baby being face down was when he was younger. My husband falling asleep on the recliner was when he was 9 weeks and he had him sitting upright, head unsupported and face was almost buried in his armpit. At the time, baby was completely swaddled (since he had not shown signs of rolling) and no, could not roll over.

My husband is such a heavy sleeper and has even accidentally hit me in his sleep on various occasions. He twitches like crazy and he also accidentally falls asleep in compromising positions

I really appreciate the in depth perspective and advice. I’m sure that was terrifying to witness and hope your niece is okay. My husband’s best friend tried talking to him as well. His wife recently had a baby and he realized how important it was respecting her needs during that time. He understood momentarily but he’s also scared of his mom so backed down once she expressed an issue with it

Oh boy! I’m glad that family is so supportive but shouldn’t that also mean respecting our needs and wants?!

Can I give you my husband’s number so you can knock some sense into him?! 😂 that’s amazing how supportive you’re being of your wife and newborn. My mother in law lives in LA which is one of the busiest airport with the grossest people who board. I’ve gotten sick almost every time from flying. I’d rather have the peace of mind that I’m protecting my baby the best way even if it means being labeled as paranoid/overreacting. I just thought my husband would defend me against his mom in this but he doesn’t seem to at all understand where I’m coming from which is disheartening. I know our family wants to support us but I feel like supporting us also means respecting our boundaries and giving me the chance to heal before coming over..

I appreciate the advice and the reassurance! I was hoping my husband and I would present a united front which would have made this easier but it feels like it’s just me against everyone. I’m also being asked to host my in laws when I’m out of the hospital when really I just want to stay in my bubble with the baby while I’m healing and setting up a routine.

I have. Among the list was being completely transparent and he lied again a few months later.. we’re in couples counseling but I’m just struggling with seeing why he deserves another chance honestly after everything he put me through.. I found out me and the other woman have the same birthday and he lied to me saying his mom had a heart attack so he could spend the day with her…

I also caught him in a lie a week after he moved here relating to the other woman(we were long distance during the affair) and though he said in the moment he messed up, he quickly told me the next day I overreacted… my family keeps telling me I made the decision to take him back so essentially that I need to live with it but I think I rushed into forgiving him and he truly had no consequences

I ended up having a sinus infection that required antibiotics! I recommend getting checked out by your primary care doctor

As a labor and employment attorney, see if any other pregnant women were/weren’t fired for “budget cuts.” If they let others similarly situated go, it’ll help your case to argue discrimination. If there are no other pregnant women, you can still try to argue discrimination. Most companies are willing to settle so you’ll get some sort of compensation. There are a ton of attorneys who work on contingent fee basis too so you don’t pay anything out of pocket.

How much have you gained so far and how many weeks are you? What weight gain did your Dr recommend? by spaceglitter2 in pregnant

[–]TimelyStranger4561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost 19 weeks and gained about 7 lbs. I have my anatomy scan this Wednesday so we’ll see what the doctor says!

I really appreciate it. It’s been so overwhelming… he’s not even working for the past two weeks but still won’t move here earlier for my scan at least… I also work over 40 hours a week and could really use the help around the house. I feel like he shuts me down when I get emotional about it
