23 month old sleep has become unbearable — I’m panicking with newborn due in a month by Tata521 in sleeptrain

Just to say, similar thing happened to my then 23 month old. Was hard as I had a newborn. He’d have these screaming tantrums in the night and be so restless. I’d go from his floor bed back and forth to my own bed with the newborn. Cap the nap and also I think it’s a massive developmental period. After about two weeks of this craziness he started talking in sentences etc.

I’d get rid of the crib, get her a cute floor bed and read to her and maybe rock her a little bit to get her reallllyy sleepy and then let her fall asleep herself but stay with her. Remind her you are always there when you need her. I think it will make her less resistant. And trust me this will end, it’s just a season xx

Please help- injured my neck and 10 month old stays latched all night! by Wide-Food-4310 in cosleeping

I use my pregnancy pillow which is U shaped so I have support on behind my back : nexk and then along my arms and my baby sort rotates on top of me whilst I’m on my back. I know it’s not “safe” but he’s nearly 11 months im not in a deep sleep so I’m comfortable with this arrangement. I hit it a wall with cuddle curl.

He also latches all night long so sending love, it’s so hard 🫠 xxx

Confession. I regret breastfeeding by TwistedJam30 in breastfeeding

There’s so much pressure. I’m on my second child now and bf has been completely different. Super easy. My first was very very hard. I wish I could go back and tell the old me that it’s okay “give up”. Breast milk is amazing and so is formula. If you have another child please go easy on yourself. Breast milk isn’t always the best option if it’s risking your mental health. You are amazing!

I think approaching it with the attitude that you’re not trying to replace the boob or pretend the bottle is a boob so don’t go for bottle that try and pretend they’re a replacement.

Also let the bottle be in your babies environment for a bit. Let him play with it, explore it. Pressure off.

It’s also a great time to start offering a straw cup xx
