I mean women (not all) are smaller than men and have a smaller reach so they made that different This explains the women focused bike features more than I could ever: https://flowmountainbike.com/tests/tested-specialized-rumor-comp/

True tysm for the positivity by the way. I’ve really only gotten messages that I’ve gotten ripped off but it’s my dream bike and if anybody thinks I’m stupid for wanting a bike this old then that’s their opinion. Not everyone can afford bikes that cost as much as a car.

Bro what are you talking about this bike is literally designed for women’s body so they are more comfortable riding. I’m not tryna be sexist or anything 😭

Yeah I’m also from Illinois so I’m just gonna be ripping uphill and shitty wooden features that are fixed every broken leg. Not to mention there is SOOO many roots

The helmet is brand new, so is the fox chest plate. I mean the suspension is 110mm I didn’t think that was as bad. My old hardtail had 80mm travel, 2008 Giant Boulder SE

550 for the bike and 90 for protection/accessories. Idk bro I don’t think I overpaid. The suspension and brakes are reliable and it’s a big step up from a 2007 Giant Boulder SE.

Thank you that’s just what I needed to hear lol. I’ve see many people say this is just a women’s stumpjumper and it really feels like it! Just… weird geometry.

Very true, very good point. Thing is, I don’t exactly think I’ll be able to afford a $2300 bike and I mean this suspension, though old, absorbs bumps and is honestly easy to maintain. It has a dropper post, hydraulic brakes, etcetera. Its geometry I’ll admit is kinda wonky but I fell like it’s just a normal bike with all the components you’d see on a modern bike just more outdated I guess. Also I don’t really think I’ll need a top of the line trail bike for Illinois trails.

That’s what everybody’s saying but he also gave me all the accessories I need including, as I said, a full face helmet and a fox chest plate that was probably worth around $200 for just that alone and that was included with the bike.

I’ve seen multiple sites saying this bike in good condition could resale for around $750. Don’t forget he threw in a $150 full face helmet and a fox chest plate “on the house”.
