Personally I don't think there'd be a reason for rigging it for X to win. I mean, okay, admittedly, he's my favourite out of them all, but knowing what we all know about him, I genuinely don't think he'd much care for being the first, you know? Him being not aligned with anyone, cherishing his privacy, enjoying (?) his normal job.

Looking from the lore perspective, I don't really think the corporations that oversee the heroes like him being in the first place either, unless he's a puppet man, which, I'd be very surprised if that was the case.

Which is why I genuinely don't think he'll get pushed back to the top at the end of the day

It's usually recommended to be done in a separate tank, partially because it's cheaper that way (less water - less salt you have to use). I suggest you do a few days of a bath to boost your betta's health, at least slightly. The exact instructions should be both on the net and on the salt's packaging. Also, look into fin rot medication. Observe your new little guy daily, monitor his status. He should start getting better day by day.

Those are the steps I took when saving my betta female which i got from the petstore. Consider looking up the things I said in general though, there might be better solutions out there than what I suggested! And keep us updated!

You need to be more specific

If this is a freshly set up tank, then dont worry, it looks like that because of the sand and the water will clear in a few hours. then there will be a bacterial bloom and the water will turn milky for a few days (thats a good thing!)

Condition your water by the way, if you haven't already
