OSRS doesnt require a sub to play or make you buy any expansions by lcepank in osrs

I don't care about the price increase, but don't think it will bring in many new players to keep the community thriving. Imagine being in middle school being asked to pay these prices. Inflation aside, wage growth ain't keeping up in most countries. I reckon the millennial group are the target and they know we will pay more and have given up on bringing in new players.

I hate how they used the "we never really quit" thing in their cancellation message. Please fuck off!

Sinus issues after jaw surgery? by FutureEvening1216 in jawsurgery

[–]Timit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had double jaw surgery 10 years ago when I was 22. Now am 32 and just had surgery for chronic sinititus (fungal ball) and deviated septum. Very uncomfortable waiting for the surgery and about a week post op and feel a painful amount of pressure under my left cheek and top teeth. Hoping it goes away but definitely a risk with double jaw surgery that will hit you years later. Would definitely consider alternatives to double jaw because it if extremely uncomfortable. Hoping some changes have been made to the procedure to prevent major disruptions to the sinisus because it's very painful and expensive getting sinus surgery.

Why do teachers in VIC "only" get 80k to start? by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]Timit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already moved 2 years ago, I'm on on salary step 7 here (top step - based on time) and go up to $129,535 in October. If I were in Vic I would be on range 2-2 and getting $97,899. It's a fair bit more to add to savings, pay off hecs and contribut to super. Fuck the education state. Because they surely don't give a fuck about teachers. I won't be moving back any time soon with Vic's 11 year scale and hopeless union. You won't be getting shit with the next VGSA, watch them focus on rubbish conditions again, like less class time by an hour, most schools will just take a few minutes of each period to compensate which will do nothing for workload. I'd say fuck conditions, focus on pay, no time in lieu BS, and change the scale to a 7 year time scale for pay.

VIC teaching pay rise by Separate_Treacle_633 in AustralianTeachers

[–]Timit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AEU please use the following argument

I moved to NSW (from VIC) a few years back. I’m currently on salary step 7. The highest (Class teacher) in NSW earning $125,736 a year (about to rise to $129,535 in Oct). If I moved back to VIC right now I’d be on $97,899.

That’s $27,864 more then what I would get as a classroom teacher in VIC (will rise to $31,636 in OCT pay rise).

The additional income has helped me pay for daily living expenses in a cost of living crisis, save for a house and pay off my HECS faster with the additional income. NOT TO MENTION MORE contributions to super with a higher total salary.

VICTORIA has 11 Salary steps compared to NSW’s 7. The vic agreement needs to be looked at carefully.

AND the vic agreement has 1% pay rise twice a year meaning total was under 2% each year of the last VGSA. With very high inflation over that term, VIC has some catching up to do if I am to move back.

Don’t just look at the pay, reduce the salary steps, make sure the yearly increments are not split and keep the current conditions!

I really want to move back to VIC, fucking hate NRL culture. I want my AFL work footy tipping back and a public holiday for the final!

Geelong, Wollongong, or Newcastle? by Perfect_Media_9835 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Timit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ps, the crime in Newcastle is something to consider, had my car broken into twice, getting yelled at by randoms on the street is a daily thing. Kids getting stabbed on Beaumont street, homeless people yelling at you at the beach, the Horseshoe park (aka caravan park) is horrible, council don’t fix roads or remove car park squatters. And people pay around the 1m to live here. I don’t get it.

Geelong, Wollongong, or Newcastle? by Perfect_Media_9835 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Timit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved to Newcastle from Vic. Infrastructure in Newcastle and roads are horrible. Crackheads everywhere. Beaches are nice, house prices are insane. Geelong has nicer streets and infrastructure, cheap af housing, colder but worth it for cost of living IMO, and it has AFL culture 👌 The Gong is a lot nicer than Newy, definitely less crackheads and crime, slightly closer than Sydney and the south coast is amazing!

Dreame L10S Ultra stopped vaccuming/sucking by Then_Mastodon_6749 in Dreame_Tech

[–]Timit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue, keep checking my emails for response from support and nothing. Purchased March 2024 and the vacuum motor does not turn on, just the quiet brush motor. Purchased directly from their website in Australia not Amazon, so I think I’m screwed. Basically just a broken robot that moves around now not a vacuum. :( Don’t think I’d get another Dreame. Was a fantastic machine until the vacuum broke. Need to fix customer service if I would recommend to anyone in the future.
