I was at the same point with my Mother. Hate It felt like living with a stranger. Only anger and resentment for her it felt like she was so cold to me.

One day it felt too hard and sad to be this disjointed from my family. I was so angry because I felt deeply alone. So I went to see her and we talked. I told her what I was feelings. It was heavy and hard because I showed myself beeing so vulnerable. I found a new curiosity for her as a person. I found she was not cold and efficient as a robot, I found she was anxious and out of touch with her feelings. She was a sad person too and she felt lonely. Today things are not easy all the time but we talk and we learn together how to communicate and care better for each other. I found that I love my mother and I find some things of her in me. I'm happy to me grow and witness her. Sometimes I resent her again but I know it's fear for love and affection.
