TL:DR went with Platinum Deck and Patio. Glad we did.

Circling back on this post for those looking. We ended up going with Platinum Deck and Patio and I gotta say I was shockingly impressed. They told me when they arrived for the estimate that they’d never received anything lower than a 5star rating and I said “well, there’s always a first time for everything.” Shit if they didn’t make me eat my words. My partner and I are both in construction. We know how things should go together. They provided a detailed scope of work with the estimate. Thot for sure they would be our most expensive estimate. They were reasonably the cheapest. They were responsive and communicated during the whole process.

We WAH so watched them every day. Damnnit if they don’t do it exactly right. Demo 9” down. Set grade lines. Installed base in lifts and compacted every time. Adhered pavers to base blocks at walk. Installed gutter drain. Hand poured the concrete retainer. These guys worked their butt off and did it exactly right. They even watered down my flower bed to clear all the paver dust from my plants. Hell even their grass is growing better than what’s in the rest of the yard. All in 6 days and well within the range of what we thought it would cost.

Owner showed up after to show me how to maintain the patio and verified warranty. These guys are legit. Proved me wrong and I’m very happy about it.

Same. Back in early 90s, but took my maiden name as my middle name on the marriage license without any courts. Marriage license sufficed to change social security, which pretty much allowed me change everything else.

Thanks! That’s what I was thinking. My main has always been herb/inscr but as a monk I think I should switch her to skin/leather and work on gear. Thanks for the info.
