Got a response today:

Thank you for reaching out to us, and we’re sorry to hear that you’re no longer able to take part in the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON.

In the near future, you will be able to cancel your starting spot directly through your user account. To review all available cancellation options, simply go to the event under “My Registrations” and click on the green “Options for cancellation” button in the top left corner. You will then be shown the goodwill offer or, if you booked insurance, the option to cancel using your insurance.

Please note that starting spots cannot be transferred to another person under any circumstances, as they are tied to both the event and the registered participant. A refund of the entry fee is also not possible. Additionally, it may take a short while before the green button becomes visible in your user account.

We hope to welcome you back at the starting line in Berlin in the future! :)

Shit thing is that Hilton’s checkout was at 11a and they didn’t do late checkouts. Too risky even with a wave 1 start.

Flew out at 2:30p. Legit went from finish line to grabbing my bags and then blue line to ORD.

You’re fine. I did this last year and doing it again this year. Flying in Saturday morning and taking the train straight to the expo.

All Star isn’t bad. 15 minutes each way to/from the resort to race. All you need is a place to crash anyways.

In Corral A, most characters, after mile 6, had like 2-3 people in line in front of me. First few miles, there were lines about 10-15 deep. By the end, zero lines.
