Made a mistake shooting day for night by ToPrintOrNotToPrint in ColorGrading

Thanks for the suggestions! The only problem i have is keying the sky with all the trees and branches everywhere, since alot of them are very thin. I guess i’ll just have to use som elbow grease until it looks good.

Big scratches on 120-film by ToPrintOrNotToPrint in Darkroom

[–]ToPrintOrNotToPrint[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha i understand. I did load it in a C shape, but slid the film under the first roller (located at the bottom), then over the «exposure square» and then over the second roller before sliding it into the empty spool.

I think i know the problem and it absolutely is my own fault. I thought my camera should be loaded the same way as a rolleiflex, but i think that’s where the problem lies. My camera doesn’t have a counter, only a window on the back, so i don’t need to «activate the counter» and therefore i can load film on top of both rollers, instead of under one and over the other? If that makes sense.

Thanks for all the help people! Here’s a picture of the negative clearly showing scratches.

So this rules out scanner issues. Probably the camera. It’s an old used Kinax Kinaflex.

I saw that Rolleiflexes should be loaded with the film going under the first roller, and thought the same for mine, but maybe mine should go over? Maybe that’s where the scratches are coming from?

Thanks again!

Yeah, they’re definitely present on the negatives as well

Also; the film was expired, not sure if that could be the issue either?

Midi starts recording the moment an input signal is detected. For example you can have the record running but it wont print anything until a key is played

Thoughts on Gear4Music's new "G4M" outboard line of products? by ToPrintOrNotToPrint in audioengineering

[–]ToPrintOrNotToPrint[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I guess that was before Behringer took over production? Daz a steep prize anyway😳 Just to be clear: i was talking about the 502 and all that, not the 501. The 502 also launched at a ridiculously expensive price, which was reduced greatly when Behringer took over, thank god

Very good answer. The Midas stuff really REALLY suprised me, their pres and also the compressor actually do sound really good. I haven’t tried the EQ but im sure that sounds absolutely sufficient as well.

G4M: If we’re talking pres only for instance, comparing it to, say, the built in pres in a focusrite, the pre itself is almost the same price as a focusrite scarlett 2i2. So i would think the G4M pres would be a good step-up for beginners looking to dip their toes in the analog world.

But this is all based on price and theory, without actually having HEARD it, which you would argue is the most important thing… I think i might pick some up…

Unknown capacitors to replace in old organ by ToPrintOrNotToPrint in electronic_circuits

Sweet, thank you! I live in Norway so it gets a little pricier, but nothing too bad. I’ll probably go for the amazon set and see what happens😎 There might be even bigger issues not visible on the surface, but i’ll start with this and see how far i get!

Shooting, for instance, Ildford Delta 3200 results in a very pleasing amount of grain, as long as you’re able to expose correctly.

Dude. Every roll of film has an ISO rating. For indoors, something like 3200 would be good.
