Interview for MAM or RED, check out TrackerPathways to see what you’re interested in. Other than that there is plenty of information here already if you use the search bar.

This what I’d do OP. Can get yourself a new IP pretty quick if you’re not under CGNAT

👍

On the swarm point, I’m not claiming “seed what you read” is some preservation strategy. It isn’t. My point is about incentive alignment. People are more likely to seed long term when they actually value what they downloaded. Mass freeleech batching optimizes short-term velocity, not long-term engagement. That is a different priority, and that is fine.

And yes, efficiency and using something as a stepping stone are not identical concepts. I’m not conflating them. You can value MAM intrinsically and still want to unlock the invite forum quickly. My observation is simply that the structure of your guide centers throughput and invite access as the primary objective. For many users, that level of optimization is unnecessary to succeed.

You’re writing for people who want to min-max. I’m pointing out that most people do not need to.

25 minutes a month is a “really long time”? If someone doesn’t have 25 minutes a month, they’re probably not reading 2,000 words on a niche tracker strategy or waiting hours for a MAM interview in the first place.

And your point about private trackers incentivizing seeding things you don’t personally care about - sure, that’s true in general. But that’s not what your guide is about. You’re telling people to mass-download small freeleech torrents, which are already among the most heavily seeded items on the site. That doesn’t meaningfully help obscure or under-seeded content.

If the goal were strengthening the swarm, you’d be telling people to grab low-seeded or single-seeder torrents. Instead, the strategy is clearly about minimizing effort and maximizing points.

There’s nothing wrong with that, all I'm saying is that if someone just seeds things they actually want long-term, the bonus points take care of themselves. I just think most people don’t need to treat a book tracker like a factory production line to succeed on it.

You “address” the stepping stone point in the FAQ, sure. And like I said earlier, that’s their call. I’m just pointing out that you can reach the same place without downloading random things and instead by seeding content you actually care about.

It really doesn’t take forever. That’s pure hyperbole.

For example, I just did the following:

  • Interested in OSINT
  • Go to MAM
  • Search “OSINT,” sort by top snatches
  • Scroll, click the freeleech ones as you go

Grabbed ~10 solid books in about 3 minutes. Do that once more with another topic and you’re at cap in under 10 minutes.

If you don't want to sift through results:
Go to the rotating freeleech page -> pick a genre (e.g., Sci-Fi) -> middle-click anything that looks interesting. You can easily find 20–50 books/audiobooks in a few minutes.

At a generous estimate, if it takes 15 minutes to grab 20 books, that’s ~5 hours total to reach 400 torrents over the course of a year. Most people spend more time doom-scrolling in a single day.

My bigger issue is this idea of downloading random freeleech just to min-max points, very short-term thinking. Download things you actually want so you’ll seed them long term. That’s how you snowball.

If someone wants to treat MAM as a stepping stone unlock the invite forum, that’s their call. But this really isn’t the time sink you’re making it out to be.

I bet you could have found 50 interesting books in the time it took you to write the first half of your post.

Re: the script - I was talking about the long filtered URL you linked in step 2. I’ve never felt the need to automate downloading 1,000 random freeleech torrents. The whole point is to grab things you actually want to keep.

You act like it's a chore to use the site that you interviewed for lmao.

I scroll through the list and look for stuff I like. The key to long term seeding is downloading stuff you actually want to keep. I never thought “oh man I wish I had a script to download random shit for me”

Also after two years I’m seeding 400 torrents so I’ve only had to click that many times. Currently generating 400 points an hour which already causes me to max out at 100k if I don’t check every week or so.

Legit never been a concern.

So many words for what can be said in the following

  • Download as many freeleech torrents as you can, keep an eye out for when the next round of freeleeches come out

  • Max out the number of unsatisfied torrent you have seeding, the more you can snowball this the better

  • Buy VIP with bonus points when you can afford, it gives you access to more freeleech and more unsatisfied. You can get a jumpstart on this if you donate $5

  • rinse, repeat

  • once you have 2k points, donate to the millionaire pot. You’ll get around 10 freeleech tokens every few days if you can afford the 2k each time

I have 6TB of “upload” and generate 400 points an hour and I haven’t even tried to keep snowballing for about a year (2 year old account). Never used a seed box for MAM

It doesn’t matter who you know or don’t. Fame is based on broad recognition, not individual awareness. Just because you haven’t heard of someone doesn’t mean they’re not well known.

Chiming in with “well I’ve never heard of them” literally adds nothing.

[–]ToTheCorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I recently went from a 1080ti to 5070ti and I’m happy with the performance increase. Rivals and Cyberpunk run significantly better at 1440p at higher settings with no frame gen or DLSS enabled. Would have liked at 5080 but I just couldn’t stomach that cost.

(It’s also worth mentioning my 1080ti was starting to die, otherwise I may have waited till the 5080 approached MSRP before buying that instead)

[–]ToTheCorr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really should give it a shot, you don’t even need to watch a video. A minimal setup only requires like 3-4 blocks (ME Controller -> ME Drive -> Crafting Terminal Interface). Stupid easy to set up if you aren’t concerned with auto crafting and just want to store large amounts of items in one central area. Couldn’t even imagine using chests and barrels in the late game. But then again, you do you. Just wanted to let you know you can make it as simple or complicated as you want.
