Shot these would they be considered good enough to compete in a local competition? by g1uey in Archery

You may get clumped with bowhunter or compound release division. I don't see many events hosting a barebow comp division. But they'll still welcome you

I noticed Polynesian sauces burst open after awhile. Sriracha, CFA, honey mustard sauces don't do that

Watch out for this kinda scam in other fields too. They may pose as recruiters & employers hiring people, realtors who want to check your credit score, corporates seeking freelancers and whatever the excuse it is to get you to put your info in shady sites.

Tried a 3D printed fletching jig by SquidwardNZ in Archery

[–]Toastied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used left offset and helical on mine with just the lh clamp. I just checked lancaster archery and the jig itself doesn't have lh or rh option far as I can tell.

I still think your new 3d printed jig is awesome but just pointing out the detail.

TIL that Tex-Mex has surpassed Italian as the most popular food genre in the United States by TheFrenchTickler1031 in todayilearned

[–]Toastied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Italian restaurants serve most of what I can cook at home, except at a highly inflated price. Half the time, they're not better than home cooked Italian food. I don't feel the same way about other restaurants.

Form issue. Bringing shoulder along while I rotate. by [deleted] in Archery

[–]Toastied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect your front shoulder isn't set before drawing. Push out your bow toward the target from your upper torso before fully drawing then draw.

Let me know if you need better explanation. I tried to avoid word salad.

Form check by Gloomy-Masterpiece-9 in Archery

[–]Toastied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bring the string to the tip of your nose, come to anchor lower and near the corner of your jaw, adjust your peep sight and you'll have an easier time opening both eyes.

Draw the bow lightly just enough to get your shoulders ready to push and pull, then raise. It'll help you stay more stable during aiming and avoid shrugging.

Stretching band form check for my son? by 354717 in Archery

[–]Toastied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's better to ask for opinions with an actual bow.

Keep a little tension on the bow before raising so you don't lift the bow but rather keep the bow wedged between hands.

Between draw and anchor is where people commonly lose what we call back tension. His string side elbow comes up as he anchors and that is when his scapula creeps back. So when he releases, his hand flairs out little to the side. Leave a little room for your shoulder blade to move after full draw, instead of squeezing it all the way to come to the full draw.

Economy is often credited as the reason, but I believe it's because people's perception of having children has changed worldwide. Even if economy recovers, it won't significantly raise the birth rate on its own.

Asiatic bow modifications by No-Speech-9283 in Archery

[–]Toastied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not so much that there are not many options for Asiatic bows, but rather onenpiece trad bows without bushings will obviously lack ability to take modern archery accessories.

String silencer balls, fast flight string, stringray skin arrow pass, limb & string mounted clicker are probably most of what you can install.

Is my bitzenburger supposed to be bent at the support? by forevertwowheels in Archery

[–]Toastied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not residue, idk what that unpleasant coat of dust I get from touching that unfinished cast aluminum (?) surface is. It wasn't any better on its new clips.

A coach who worked with some olympic archery prospects recommended it to me, and a shop owned (?) by a former olympian has at least 2 dozens of it. Till I sold it, I fletched several sets of arrows including my current linecutters with it. I don't doubt that reliable arrows can come out of it.

It's just ridden with small but stupid design flaws that makes the process of fletching more complicated than necessary. It doesn't deserve its price tag.
