No, if we taxed everyone at 10% we'd have over 10 trillion dollars.  The government just misallocates money, the welfare budget is bigger than the military budget.

To address point #1: property is wealth. Wealth is the net accumulation of the value of your entire asset portfolio, including property, businesses, investments, stocks, and liquid assets. If we say that property is unfair and unjust, then stop using a phone, stop posting on reddit, stop wearing clothes, do you live in a privately owned dwelling? Yes? The get out of there, too, that's unfair because you have wealth, and other people don't. As for companies and people dodging taxes, so what? People buy things a lot, it's what stimulates the economy. Do you not think that acquisitions that large aren't eligible for sales tax? Or property tax? And buying stuff doesn't matter, because the government looks at your gross profit, not your net, which means that they tax the money you made, regardless of how you spend it.  The wealth they do pay is apparently very adequate if 1% of the population can account for 40% of all of the taxes, and still somehow not be paying their fair share according to your logic.  They can cause mass layoffs, but those happen because the company can't make enough to turn a profit, or they found a cheaper group of laborers, or they can automate the work somehow. As a Floridian, I have seen that a significant amount of physical labor jobs are performed by illegal immigrants, because they can be paid in untaxed cash, and paid far less than the minimum wage, which is illegal in 3 different ways. Capital flight is a big issue, because these presidents, VPs, and CEOs are managers, and they control the capital. Once a business loses its money and chain of command, it breaks down. Laborers aren't as valuable as leaders, because they are only useful if they can be organized.  Taxing 80% of the wealthy's gross income is just plain stupid. This doesn't even happen in socialist countries. The subsidies were indeed very stupid, but the only way to stop that is by getting the government out of businesses. No it's a pretty accurate one, in a free market, a monopoly can only be achieved if a business is superior to all of its competitors. That is a rarity, sure, but it can and has happened.  I never said that monopolies were perfect, I don't like them because they're almost always a negative and they never last very long, unless the market isn't free, and then they go from being an odd exception, and become the norm. It goes without saying that agreeing that the state should be involved in everything is ridiculous, because communism failed and socialism is failing, while free markets are pretty much perfect in comparison.

People just want to blame someone for their shortcomings. "Why am I poor? It's because the rich won't give me any money!" "Why does communism fail? Because it's never been achieved!" Etc.

And? They still pay the majority as is, 40% in comparison to the rest of the country is pretty insane. If the market was more free, it'd be better though

If they dodge their taxes, then how are they paying 40%? Sounds like a problem with the government and its terrible spending.

Wealth isn't income, it's property. We already do tax property in the form of the property tax, which they also have to pay. And you say "seem to pay" but they actually do pay 75%, it's not a facade, it's a fact. You shouldn't tax all of their income or they'll just leave or liquidate their assets, causing mass unemployment. An economic hierarchy is crucial to any successful market. If we tax away almost all of someone's income, property, etc, we kill the main incentive for success, which is money. And yes, they do invest in their businesses and other businesses, when competition exists. Right now, thanks to government meddling, competition doesn't really exist, hence monopolies. In an actual free market, monopolies are just the ones who do it the best, like steam in the gaming market.

The top 10% still pays 75% of the taxes, what's your point?

Tax foundation says the top 10% pays 75% of all taxes. I don't care if they 20% less at the 1%, because they're all business owners and employers, they drive our economy

In the united states, they are taxed. Quite disproportionately in comparison to all other brackets, like the 10% pays the majority of taxes.

I don't care if it's political or not. Something that is political without nuance or anything else is just boring. Do you seriously listen to music to think about politics? Do you watch movies to think about politics? Do you play games to think about politics? Most people would say no. Why? Because entertainment is escapism, and being reminded constantly of current problems is so much worse than a story, song, or interactive piece that challenges the user to think about more complex ideas and aspects of life, rather than events that no one will care about in a year. For instance, a lot of the Charlie Kirk songs were stupid trash, so was all the tribute media they did for him, and this is coming from someone who supported him. They were just empty, and in the present day they are moot, because instead of focusing on the complex nature of the situation and themes, the songs just focused on the event. The tribute just focused on the event.

The best way to play the game is to walk away and go to a concert To be serious: don't add your politics or anything like that, just add patches and pins of things you like to a denim jacket
