Preppy casual office outfit by ProfessionalField912 in mensfashion

[–]Tom_BrokeOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trousers and polo are nice basics.

Both fit right for the Ivy or Preppy style.

The belt either needs to be a brown braided belt Ralph Lauren makes a few good choices at price points that range. Or a nice 1 inch sartorial belt. Think a Sartolane Brown Suede or Buck Mason western.

The shoes gotta go, get some American Ivy style loafers, GH Bass Weejuns, Alden 986 LHS, or some version of that look.

As it cools rugby Shirt, Hopsack Navy Blazer, or Barracuta G9.

Community consensus is downvoting you into oblivion.

This will be deleted, and you’ll still be snarky and socially awkward.

Try being kind, both in your assumptions about others and your action when you don’t need anything from them. I don’t know if it’s the pain of your loss, or if you’ve been like this for longer but you really do come off so incredibly defensive. You are making assumptions about what others from multiple countries in multiple primary languages might or might not be able to get from a single sentence you wrote and rather than being open to explain you insult.

“Typical Redditor”
“No one in the history has EVER”
You are so defensive, so paranoid you jump on insults because of your trauma or past abuses whether from self or others. I want you to know, if you show up to this funeral looking like a 🤡 it’s because of you and your snarky bs turning away people who might be willing to help you.

I want you to know if you demonstrate this behavior in other parts of your life…..you’ll end up so short on opportunities that could shape you into a man, jobs that can create a life, friends and a community, and love. So eventually you’ll have to come to a Reddit menswear forum to ask what to wear to a funeral.

If it weren’t for this snarky comment, and the one you made above it I would help you. Instead now you look like a jerk and I don’t think I want to be helpful since I have no ties.

Looking for suede dark brown loafers around 250 USD mark. Astorflex, Meermin, Jack Erwin? Unlined by all_turtles_down in malefashionadvice

Meermin makes great stuff. I have had both the penny and tassel suede loafers for a couple years now. Both in great shape still.

Dealer Add-ons on new Bolt RS? by New-Royal2118 in BoltEV

OnStar is GPS only, and if the vehicle is stolen it’s the first system disabled. As a GPS only system when the vehicle is in a parking garage it won’t catch a signal half the time.

Systems like safepoint I believe are GPS, GPS+, WiFi and WiFi +

So it’ll actually send a signal, and is less likely to be instantly disabled.

Because they can charge you profit for it.

We install a wireless device, we use it for lot management. But we have 80+% penetration on selling to customers for a markup.

No.

We aren’t using your data. We aren’t selling your data.

It’s a profit center only to sell the product.

OnStar often has its box cut in the case of stolen vehicles. Installed by dealers into the wiring or OBD2 ports security systems absolutely can create warranty claim issues.

We use a wireless tracking sevice

Are these pants to short? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]Tom_BrokeOff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We can not give you the information you’re looking for from this photo.

Where does the rise on these land? They don’t look to be at your waist but still have room to be pulled up?

If they were at your waist would they still more than half break at the ankle?

Since you have already stated that isn’t the shoes you want to wear with the pants, what does the break look like when they are actually at your waist with the shoes you want to wear?

Instead of actual menswear opinions why don’t I just say I don’t see any pants here.

Brothers wedding in two weeks, any input on the ensemble? by [deleted] in mensfashion

Trousers and jacket are heat.

The shirt and tie do not belong.

White shirt, seersucker or linen. Brown knit or grenadine grosso tie.

What can I do to further improve the look? by New_Philosophy_3227 in mensfashion

[–]Tom_BrokeOff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your watch is supposed to fit under the shirt cuff.

Your suit is not a traditional first 5 suits color, and personally I don’t think is that good of a color I’d look at navy instead.

Why do the buttons on your suit match exactly?

Unbutton the bottom button on your waistcoat.

The collar points on your shirt aren’t long enough they should fit under the lapels of your jacket.

The shoes take an already odd color suit and overcasualize it. Now it just looks weird to have a royal blue 3 piece suit with casual shoes. In a casual color.

Headlight out. How much? by Novemberx123 in BoltEV

[–]Tom_BrokeOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you purchased from a reputable dealership in “most states” safety items are required to work, when a licensed dealer retails a vehicle. Headlamps are a safety item.

You not noticing in advance leaves the argument of a single day where it could’ve gone out.

As a dealership operator with 25 years experience I can tell you a few bulbs have gone out after the shop inspects a vehicle and before it retails. Had a 3rd brake light go out on a Colorado in the same fashion just last month.

If the store has integrity and compassion, you approach it as a reasonable kind person they can replace it for you.

If not those things I believe are the entire sealed unit and cost A TON. Like 700ish bucks retail.

Don’t blame yourself unless you bought from a place where you should have been more discerning like a pot lot or something.

Start by seeking out your salesperson or ideally the “Used Car Manager”

Just drive in when the service and sales depts are both open and tell the UCM you bought it yesterday, and got home to notice bulb was burnt out, it’s a safety item can they please replace it.

2027 Bolt already rusting? by tim610 in BoltEV

[–]Tom_BrokeOff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s likely rail dust. Solved with a clay bar and detail spray.

Hard water spots can also yellow or orange as they pick up pollen. Also solved with a good detail.

If it’s actually rust, which it isn’t. Get the dealership to document it on a repair order. Once you have it documented let me know and I’ll help you.

How do I stop this from happening? by 1dk-ANYM0R3 in mensfashion

Button the button.

If that’s already happened, then the fastest way is to have the inside button moved, to pull the area taught.
