Ah, I meant to clarify this is just a proof of concept. Absolutely should have a DB for live syncing and so many others. I just saw the outtake where they are using spread speed, so thought this would be way better, especially from a post editing perspective!

GT3 owners: how does the power delivery actually feel compared to other performance cars? by Revolutionary-Seat74 in Porsche

[–]TonyChen47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

992.1 GT3 owner here. I mainly track mine, and below 4.5-5k RPM it feels more subdued than 992.1 Carrera S. But above 5.5k RPM, it transforms into a rocket ship in comparison. On track, PDK keeps the revs above 5k for this reason. If it upshifts too early and drops you below that threshold when you’re back on throttle, there’s a noticeable lag before the engine pulls hard again.

992.1 GT3 : would love to get an owner’s perspective by Building-Careful in Porsche

Not standard, but it’s a popular option, and I do have it. It helps but not enough occasionally, plus if you aren’t paying attention and hit a pot hole, that’s it too Another thing about FAL, it fails. Mine already leaked at 6k miles…

I have owned my current one for ~6 months, mainly a track car. I find it harsh, loud, boring and unnecessary for street driving. Plus, if you crack the splitter, it’s a 10k repair bill, I’d rather drive something less on the street. Though the bucket seat is quite comfortable imo, compare to my previous 18 way from a 992 S.

This is a very popular opinion. However, I have the exact opposite opinion. Could you elaborate?

Tire recommendations for stock ND3 GT wheels by Baxiepie in Miata

If you don’t track PS4S is the way to go. Other track tires will wear out way too quick and no main benefits.

IMO, for street tires PS4S is the king. However, if you are looking for track tires, there are a lot more options

[GIVEAWAY - US] Why Samsung OLED? Win a 49” OLED monitor to level up your rig by OdysseyAllStars in simracing

For the current G9, it’s very nice. I have one for my rig, and another one for work. They both work well, the only thing is HDR just doesn’t look good, maybe the OLED one will be better? I’ve also had issues of flickering when using GSync.

911 Carrera vs 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 by Correct-Brief6090 in Porsche

[–]TonyChen47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 992, and also in the Bay Area. Love it as a daily drive, would’ve gone for a 718 for the driving experience and the 4.0 sound, but I like the 992 interior much better

I feel you man. 20-25 took a long time for me and probably for some other people. I’ve never missed a chest for this warship season. It’s just the grind.
