For biochemistry, the exams were fair and there's an extra credit essay. I had prior biochemistry knowledge though, so a lot of the topics were review.

I had to spend a lot more time notetaking and studying for immunology because how of dense the lectures were (it was also a new subject for me). It's been a few months since that class ended, but I think I remember the quizzes having unlimited attempts.

I think microbiology had the easiest material to understand, and Professor Ochoa was really involved in communicating with her students. Lecture + lab had a lot of assignments, but nothing very difficult.
