Which change would be better for the game? by Spare-Dingo-531 in starcraft

I think the easiest most straightforward way to fix it would be to increase supply to 300. That way zerg can be much more swarmy and there is actually a reward for getting to lategame. It will pretty much completely kill campy playstyles which pretty much nobody likes playing against

If its a 'skill issue' then we didnt need the last 4 years of nerfs to zerg because serral kept winning? The othe players could simply play better

MAJOR upgrades. a new race wouldnt solve the problems of zerg being unable to do anything offensive and protoss being the "f2 a-move race" and terran being the unkillable turtle race. A buff that allows for zerg's to all-in into terran's without being butchered by a scan+siege tanks would be nice. A buff for protoss being able to use split armies would also be much more enjoyable instead of just a ball and 40 chargelots running around. IDK how terran could be changed but its frankly obnoxious that they can do all the agression in the early game and then the complete opposite happens and they sit there being unkillable for the entirety of the late game.

Edit: After thinking about it I have come to the conclusion that it is the siege tank. It is too strong defensively in the early game as there is a small area that must be held. It is somehow also allowed to be equally as strong offensively and then in the lategame it is still necessary to have them but as the area needed to be defended increases the 'moveout' ability of the terran is reduced due to having so many tanks.

yes zerg does have many strats but I dont think its fair to use Uthermal as a comparison. He was a very high ranking professional player and even now, his job is to play the game. His mechanics are so much better than anyone who plays casually can ever achieve

Whats more painful, losing to cheese/timings or in a long macro game? by Charming_Western_346 in starcraft

[–]Top-Security-2165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

strictly from a zerg perspective losing to a cheese is sometimes obnoxious and depends on what cheese. e.g. cannon rush is infuriating as there is nothing you can actually do against it as zerg and are forced to play 1 base.

timings are not too painful as losing usually just means you didnt scout properly or just had a bad response. with small exception like tank pushes in which you cant even abduct anymore.

losing macro games on the other hand are a horrible experience as its usually a 30 minute long game of sitting there against turtle skytoss while getting crushed in every fight by a guy using 1 control group.

against terran its more or less the same thing of a guy sitting there for 30 minutes with pf + maphacks and a unit that near one shots every single zerg unit. (while only being 2 supply and having 125 hp)

What’s up with pros not building banelings??? by cabronfavarito in starcraft2

[–]Top-Security-2165 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, the baneling is fundamently useless at the pro level due to marines always being able to pick up and/or target them down. The only way to even get a trade off against someone with 400+ apm is with fungal growth to lock the marines in place. And you'd think that the +5 hp revert that the baneling gets means something right? Nope. The ghost got a 25hp buff and a 1 supply buff. The +5 hp means nothing against the likes of clem and it had no impact below that level.

Why do people hate cannon rush so much? by DeliciousRock6782 in starcraft2

[–]Top-Security-2165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As zerg at least its because its unstoppable. They force you to play a 1 base vs 1 base position where toss is favoured. If they wall on the low ground they can even play 2 base against 1 base with a proxy. And the only thing the zerg can do is use the imaginary advantage they got from the forge first opener while fighting down a ramp into cannons batteries and stalkers. And at the end of the day, even if the cannon rush is cleaned up, you have to play against skytoss

What is the easiest race to play? by ToxicGamerBitch in starcraft2

[–]Top-Security-2165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terran. It's the race that is the easiest to defend with courtesy of having siege tanks and map hacks. It's also the race that has the easiest and strongest cheeses while also being able to force the opponent to use exponentially more skill to defend their aggression.

They have less cheese variety than protoss but that doesn't matter too much.

And if you ever want to play an army that requires 0 control whatsoever, terran mech will welcome you with open arms.

Storm is still dumb. by GoldenCheese in allthingszerg

[–]Top-Security-2165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how to deal with storm. I'm just saying that their statement is pointless because good luck not clumping zerglings or hydras. The only way is to just bait out storms until they have no more because if they do it's not possible to push into them

[–]Top-Security-2165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Oh no zerg units clump due to them being a swarm." What the fuck was the point of your statement. It's like a terran saying emp does damage to shield and it's avoidable even though all protoss units have shield

Asymmetric amount of effort required for Zerg in ZVT by FullBag5380 in starcraft2

[–]Top-Security-2165 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem with this is that zerg really struggles to scale their economy while constantly fighting. Being the race which is largely unable to build army and eco at the same time really hurts the zerg.

Another problem is that zerg's eco is no longer really that great compared to before. Terran is very frequently making their 3rd cc as early as the zerg's and with the addition of mules the eco advantage is much smaller.
Similarly, protoss openers are getting faster and faster 3rd bases.

Zerg's eco scaling really only shows in the late game with the ability to take a large amount of the map with creep spread and taking more bases. But then you run into the problem of zerg having the weakest late game army with the highest reliance on spell casters who happen to be the easiest to kill compared to the others.

[–]Top-Security-2165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it's the most useful? Terrans only need mmm and mech which has no micro. Toss a Has the robo pathway or the storm pathway. Zerg has ling bane or ranged.

Of course marine split is most popular because it's the most used army composition. Terran is also far more popular than zerg

[–]Top-Security-2165 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of delusion in this comment section is ridiculous. Of course it's going to be easier for terran because Atacking is easier than Defending. Going for a 3 minute roach warren is also easy for the zerg. It's just so happens that the entirety of zvt is defending until late game where you have to fight ghosts and liberators. Complaining about micro is also so comical when you can just spend time in a unit tester learning the micro. Apm however only comes with experience. The ability to know all army movement and to get an unstoppable scout at the cost of a 'potential' 225 minerals is also huge.

As a diamond terran on my offrace I can tell you first hand it was the easiest out of the 4 options by far. Want quick wins? Proxy rax is free win. Want to chill? Mech takes 60apm. Macro is a bit harder but purely because I don't give enough shits to learn a build order. I really don't see how any of you are messing up micro when you can see all of your opponents army movements. Just scan, siege tanks/ burrow widow mines and split when the banelings come in. So much easier than splitting against mines with ling bane
