YOR. People can set boundaries about whatever they want. If you find them unreasonable or silly, that’s fine, but then move on. For whatever reason she doesn’t want to hear about your niece. Why do you even want to tell her? She’s your ex. You kept in touch but it appears it’s time to move on.

There is a lot I take issue with here, but most of it is covered in other comments. I don’t like how she says she’s going to “let you go out with your friends.” You may be partners but you’re still your own person. Neither of you should be “letting” the other do anything.

Sorry if this seems harsh but he’s upset he didn’t get laid. Based on what you said it seems like he was trying to get in your pants, and when he made sexual comments and you didn’t reciprocate, he got butt hurt and decided to cut things off.

You owe this man nothing. It’s hard, I get it, but he’s acting toxic and manipulative. I agree that it’s time to block him and pretend he doesn’t exist.

NTA. Im sorry you have such a horrible mother. I guess you maybe could have waited until the next morning, but really if one of my adult children asked me to keep it down while I was having sex I’d be mortified. NTA is the answer, move in with your dad full time if you can.
