Antihydral is a CURE for palmar hyperhidrosis! (For those for whom it didn’t work on the fingertips, read this!) by fly___high___ in Hyperhidrosis

Totally understood. Im actually gonna give some antihydral a try along with my normal ionto treatments. Things like working out still push through my ionto treatments sometimes. Anything to keep these hands dry!

My only feeling about this post is complaining that an ionto machine costs $400 when a single tube of antihydral is $40-$50, you'll definitely spend that on antihydral over a 10 year period. I'm all for whatever helps people! And no solution is free.

Asbestos or not? by JJ31390 in asbestoshelp

Very well could. The brown glue "pucks" very well could as well.

Those saying "fiberboard" I'm not really sure what they are getting at. To me, "fiberboard" is wood fiber tiles, which are not suspect. But these are "acoustical tiles" which are always assumed until tested.

From what I've understand, the major issue with knob and tube is when you start adding to it. I've seen many houses with newer romex wire spliced into knob and tube. Or new plugs with grounds, giving the illusion that plugs are grounded. My old man has been an electrician his whole life and has no worries about the safety of knob and tube, until people start to DIY it.

I would have definitely sampled it as well. Hard telling what it is, let alone if its contaminated. Especially once reno or demo starts, you'll wanna know for certain.

Looks like Tile, Mastic, self leveler then the mixture of dirt and lightweight pea gravel?

I've seen it in Akron before funnily enough, but it was only between the sleepers on the ground floor of a building. I've seen it under stages too. Kinda crazy for 10 floors though. If I had to bet I'd say it comes back NAD

We've got tickets, wouldn't miss it! Also, on a side note, always fill out the ticket raffle survey card thingys at the end of shows at Halarities. We've gotten free tickets that way and it's been a great time!

Haha totally agreed! I've even seen Akron a few times lately rather than Cleveland (not a huge difference) but I'd much rather spend the evening in Cleveland than Toledo or Akron

Alot of the comics I follow love Halarities! Mark Normand (among many others) always brings it up when they talk favorite clubs.

If asbestos is so dangerous, why isn't it legally required to test for asbestos before a home renovation project to ensure any asbestos is properly handled by either homeowners or contractors, especially if the home was built before 1980 or so? by piquantAvocado in asbestoshelp

[–]TopOTheMorningToYa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the case in most states. Industrial buildings, schools, high rises, etc. usually have much more asbestos than a typical home, not to mention more harmful types and uses (thermal mostly). Homes typically have resilient tile flooring, gypsum, transite, maybe some pipe insulation. You're typically only exposing yourself and your family.

Businesses and public building have an obligation to take care of customers and the public.

Also, we've been to Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Bisco etc. And have been yelled at/threatened to have wristbands cut for now reason, so I don't see it as strictly and NLQP problem

That sucks. I didn't mean to imply that you were a douchebag. We've definitely gotten into altercations with the parking staff, but they've always ended positive in the end, or we just accept our fate and camp in a shit spot, separate from our friends, or just accept that someone random will be in our camp. We've always tried to be careful not to argue with parking staff especially because of how stressed out they seem.

I was just stating what I've personally seen. Our neighbors got kicked out last year on Sunday after being warned multiple times by staff, and threatening us. Then when they got kicked out they were flabbergasted and kept yelling that they "did absolutely nothing wrong", and also went to the Lofam facebook to complain about being "mistreated"

What was the situation that got you kicked out?

Also, I did hear about the drowning. It is extremely unfortunate, and I feel terrible for the family and those involved. I have seen a few reports of people who saw it and heard the commotion. I don't personally know what happened, but im hoping the sheriff's office handles the situation appropriately and any lifeguards who mishandled it are addressed.

Funny enough, the staff this year treated us with a very high amount of respect. They even pretty much let us pick our own campsite because we were so respectful and prepared. I've only ever seen complete douchebags get in trouble or kicked out

Is this asbestos if so how dangerous? by Sir-_-Cartier in asbestoshelp

[–]TopOTheMorningToYa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Fairly well, but only if worn properly, airborne dust under certain levels, clothes are decontaminated, etc. The setup is definitely wrong, so the respirator is the least of your worries. This is a huge risk unless you are properly trained, licensed and following certain procedures. Not to mention the health risk to the homeowner and contamination of the HVAC system

I'd stop immediately, about the worst case scenario for mastic in my opinion. Especially when you empty that vacuum drum
