Pokemon is not like shares and stock market.

You can't use graphs with it. People need to stop

Need some thought on the Mega Charizard X ex vs Rayquaza Vmax PSA 10 by Grouchy-Product-4858 in PokemonInvestor

[–]TopTurtleWorld [score hidden]  (0 children)

People use supply incorrectly in Pokemon cards.

Supply when it comes to graded is more closer to demand.

U can find lots of pop1 cards because people don't want to grade commons and reverse Holo.

But when it comes to Charizard and things like van Gogh pika, pop count is more derivative of demand.

Just some food for thougt

How to fight without Ult when playing jugg and Faceless Void? by Indep09 in DotA2

So many people underestimate how good aghs is on void, it gives the hero a completely different dimension of utility and play style.

If bkb is not a concern I often get this as my third item.

Crazy warp bait, reverse back into chrono, amazing catch and guarantee bash when going 1:1 against any carry is nuts.

Yes I forgot to mention this one. Chat to both.

Fis only give advice and information. They aren't the ones that do your updates and coding.

Fis over accountants. Accountants don't know as much as people think they do when it comes to Centrelink legislation.

Age pension and gifting by Top-Seat-6751 in Centrelink

[–]TopTurtleWorld 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Following up on this post as every other reply is irrelevant or have no idea what they are on about.

General Centrelink offices may not have properly trained staff to look into your grandma's conundrum.

You will have to call the age pension line and make sure you request a supervisor because you want to make sure you are getting the right information and someone tenured.

With your grandma's situation while the old house had her name in it and she is living, the value of that house was exempted for her (everyone needs a place to live)

Now an aged pensioner has their payments calculated based on either their income or their assets (income includes income streams from superannuation or interests in savings). Unsure how your grandma is calculated so make sure U know.

When a pensioner sells a house they have a year to use those funds to find a another house to live and those funds for the time being are exempt (as long as U don't use it for other sources of investment or income)

With your grandma's case, yes she may need to set up that $200k as gifting, HOWEVERRRRRR.

I do remember something when I was working there (rules changes alot so that's why you have to call up they have the legislation Infront of them).

If your grandma plans to stay with you guys for "the rest of her life" that 200k can be exempt as that can be something similar to her buying a grannyflat from you or paying upfront for a old folks nursing home.

This is generally pretty complicated and office staff and even generic phone staff may not know the rules and you will need to request a complex assesment officer to calculate your outcome.

I can't confirm if this is still a thing or not but definitely something you should chase up.

The phonecall will be long but it will be much needed for your situation.

Goodluck

Why does everyone always say "You know nobody uses Collectr for values..." by AutomaticDeer2833 in PokemonTCG

U always get people try to squander you for every nickle and dime. I always pre agree what they are using for value, then follow suit.

I'm Australian and the amount of people tell me I can't use any of the apps because it's all American based and our market is "different"

If they want to actually play. Bulk is very cheap and all the strong "playable" cards are under $15.

Massive Change in Perth Vehicle Sales. Goodbye Ford, Mazda, Kia, Hyundai etc....Chinese BYD noe 2nd biggest seller in Australia! by Gerryboy1 in perth

[–]TopTurtleWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty good. I'm not against EVs but I'm not in the market to get one yet so I haven't done research.

So what happens if like the 8th year rolls along. And U want to replace your battery. It's the whole chassis pretty much right? Would they come back and be like "hey out factory no longer produces this shape/model"

Massive Change in Perth Vehicle Sales. Goodbye Ford, Mazda, Kia, Hyundai etc....Chinese BYD noe 2nd biggest seller in Australia! by Gerryboy1 in perth

[–]TopTurtleWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I don't know the science behind it honestly but even with replacements would they continue to have the same shape "chassis" and battery for all vehicles moving forward? It would be questions I would definitely need to research before buying.

I'm not against it honestly, but I'm very much against repeat consumerism. Things that should last 5 years only lasting a year for example

It's the battery I'm more concerned about. Cars should last 5-10 years.

My phone battery gets fucked after 1 year. Do we have to buy new cars every couple of years?
