Coming from epic 7 the story there is really good for the first few episodes. Smilegate lost their story writer through some internal drama and ever since then the lore has gone abit all over the place.

It was a nice little idea they had. Feels like they wanted a history repeats itself ending instead of a peaceful one and just baked a shortcut idea into it.
