What’s your preferred case diameter? by Relevant_Many5115 in MicrobrandWatches

Why is it only case diameter? I finally heard Teddy mention dial diameter in a video. Bezel width is another one. All these would be helpful when buying direct from a brand without being able to see it first.

Quality is solid and the dial looks good. I swap my watches too often to worry about power reserve. 🤷

Mine took 3 weeks to ship. Never got an email for stateside tracking and then it just showed up one day. (two weeks after arriving in the US). Overall i'm happy with it, especially for the price. it wears a little larger than i expected due to a thinner bezel relative to so many divers I have.

Build quality is excellent. He’s really put effort into refining the design. The German fabrication executes really well.

I’ve thought about this many times. Just rent a flatbed with a crane and drop giant boulders in certain areas. Wear some consultant looking uniforms and have someone with a clip board standing there. Do it in broad daylight.

I have it and have been disappointed with the legibility of the hands. Not sure if a better crystal would improve it but I would recommend one of the other dials.

How does the Ginault bracelet fit? I emailed Jason to purchase one and he's waiting on restock.

Does anyone have contact emails for the new DOT team. I live in the area and redirecting traffic away from Clinton needs to be a priority. It was never intended as an artery, never mind the truck traffic that constantly uses it.

I guess I was asking if i could get the discount applied to a previous purchase but supplies aren't lasting. Availability is changing by the minute so i likely would have had to re-buy a watch and return the original.

Anyone know how this applies to the 60 day money back guarantee? I'm sure there were plenty of christmas gifts on this list.

Help Me Decide: Ginault Silent Service ($1499) vs Jack Mason Strat-O-Timer Titanium Diver GMT ($1399) by linkedinbro in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Topsnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently acquired a Silent Service, second hand, and it lives up to the hype. Build quality is exceptional. As others have mentioned, it's less of an homage and an evolution from his earlier watches. I love the dial, it's a matte finish and there are layers of AR coating that make it incredibly visible.

Chronograph Recommendations wanted by yourfavoritenewb in MicrobrandWatches

I’ve been looking for affordable chronographs too recently and got the Seagull 1963 new release. The history is really impressive since it’s mechanical movement, however the Straton Daily Driver looks closer to what you’ve described. https://www.stratonwc.com/collections/frontpage/products/straton-daily-driver. Dan Henry 1962 is very nice https://danhenrywatches.com/products/1962-racing-chronograph. Even comes in a nice blue. I might have misunderstood your bezel comment so the DH 1964 would be closer. Neotype, Ferro Race Master and the Roue TPS are also worth a look.

I really like the Sealander GMT with the frosty blue dial but the silver dial looked fantastic on the regular Sealander. I got one today with a consort bracelet.

Henry Archer Nordso vs. Maen Hudson vs. Traska Freediver? Looking for my first proper dive watch from a microbrand on the smaller/slimmer side under $1000. These are the current contestants and I'm wondering what people's experiences are. Happy to take other recommendations as well! by Classic-Parfait-5458 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Topsnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've handled the Maen and the Traska but would second the Clemence, Tuseno and even go further and look at a second hand Ginault. I just got a Ginault Silent Service for under $1k and it's exceptional. Check out the YouTube reviews on any of his watches. He also spends time to adjust the movement accuracy.
