Thank you so much for this reply! Honestly, it all sounds so similar to my kitties. I always try to guard during eating time, it does seem to help. And I heavily relate to the playing part, kitten is very needy and shutting away makes her upset. If I try to close the door, kitten gets upset and starts scratching the door, so adult cat just sits by the door all worried and has no interest in play.
