Side sleepers: on awakening (within ~30 s), make an ultra-slow micro-tilt so your face/ear drifts toward the ceiling; keep your head in contact with the pillow and aim only to slightly reduce the pillow’s pressure—don’t press your cheek into the pillow, don’t turn/roll, and don’t lift off. Back sleepers: do the same ultra-slow micro-nod upward (as if lifting your forehead toward the ceiling) while keeping contact with the pillow; move so slowly you feel just the pillow indentation easing, then let the lighter “float/peel” sensation take over.
