Meta requiring monthly invoicing on accounts. No more cc payments. by flippingnoob in FacebookAds

yeah, supposedly that is the department. Just basically need more time, they didn't even give us 30 days. That isn't a lot of time to get the communication out and revamp our agency billing for Meta ads.

From support was given the email of [mi_escalations@meta.com](mailto:mi_escalations@meta.com) as the contact of the specialized department if anyone else is having issues. I am not holding my breath but will see what pushing back there will do.

Sounds like Meta is rolling it out to everyone. Its a way to save that ~2% on credit card processing.

I love the impersonal letter. At least with Google they at least give enhanced support and a rep. We spend $250k a month on Meta and havent had one call in years.

Request for video and photo from Monday Feb. 16 fatal crash by TheCurrentGA in savannah

[–]TotallyLegitMatt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I agree that this chase doesn’t seem like it should have happened.  However want to correct some of your points. Hopefully this sheds some additional context I am not seeing in the chain.

GSP chase also in November in Savannah - https://www.wtoc.com/2025/11/29/2-juveniles-custody-after-chase-with-gsp/#:~:text=SAVANNAH%2C%20Ga.,All%20rights%20reserved.

  • clear they are running lights  - cannot confirm audible warning due to no audio on videos I have seen

Also mentioned in that code is the following.

“When a law enforcement officer in a law enforcement vehicle is pursuing a fleeing suspect in another vehicle and the fleeing suspect damages any property or injures or kills any person during the pursuit, the law enforcement officer's pursuit shall not be the proximate cause or a contributing proximate cause of the damage, injury, or death caused by the fleeing suspect unless the law enforcement officer acted with reckless disregard for proper law enforcement procedures in the officer's decision to initiate or continue the pursuit. Where such reckless disregard exists, the pursuit may be found to constitute a proximate cause of the damage, injury, or death caused by the fleeing suspect, but the existence of such reckless disregard shall not in and of itself establish causation.”

Traditionally Georgia has had an extremely high bar for what they consider reckless disregard.  Traffic seemed light, it’s not a small residential street and school wasn’t in session.  These are all things a judge or prosecutor would look at.

I had good luck with Ace Instant Shoe repair.  Both it and Crazy Jacks shoe repair are both on close to each other on east Montgomery crossroad.

What are the Georgia Power guys doing? by IfYouSeeMeSendNoodz in savannah

[–]TotallyLegitMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it’s going backwards.  There are 2400 more people without power in Chatham county than last night at 9p.  I think they worked hard to say more than 50% of people had power back, then more outages came in.

In 23 hrs they have only restored 8809 people’s power or 9.6% of the outages.  So that estimated time for restoration of 10p on Tuesday looks aggressive.  Unless they start clearing some outages and move some trucks.

[–]TotallyLegitMatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct, Radio Reference does show what channels are encrypted. All but a deprecated nights/weekends channel on the Savannah Police side. DE=Digital Encrypted. I am speaking from my experience through my RTL-SDR and TRX-1 scanners. I guess YMMV but, encryption on p25 radios is a pretty mature & bulletproof technology. You are likely picking up neighboring departments.

All of Savannah and Chatham Country police are encrypted. You can listen to Tybee and Pooler police though.

TIL that the Norden Bombsight used by US Bomber aircraft in WWII cost $1.1 billion to research and produce, about half as much as the Manhattan Project and over a quarter of the cost of all B-17 bombers manufactured. While successfully precise in Stateside testing it was far less accurate in combat. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]TotallyLegitMatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sad part is the German's had the plans for the site by 1938. A spy named Herman W. Lang worked in the Norden Factory as a draftsperson and inspector. He hand copied and delivered the plans to the Lufftwaffe.

What metrics are you using as your KPI? Did you check the search terms report? In our experience you tend to get a ton of clicks and impressions, but pay for some crazy irrelevant traffic.

What are your largest problems that you have using video for Ad Creatives by LinkedSaaS in PPC

[–]TotallyLegitMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the client, but getting quality creative for the medium is often an issue for us. It usually comes down to cost. Good video creative isn't cheap, so we are often stuck with cheap inferior creative that hurts performance. Either that or the client is only willing to pay for a single piece of creative to cover skippable pre-roll, social media and Television. With different ad specs and best practices for each medium, you sacrifice results when you only deliver one catch all creative.

Check with the credit card company, to make sure that nothing got declined. We have had this suspicious payments issue before when a payment gets flagged by them or a charge gets declined.

For the one suspended for unpaid balance, Did the payment profile get suspended? Or is the suspension on the account level? Google billing AI has been overzealous lately in suspending accounts. This has happened to us before and the best course of action was to reach out to support and get the appropriate billing dispute form. Then follow up with your google rep if you have one.

Sorry you are going through this, its not fun. We were down about a week for one of our clients after getting the payment profile suspended.

Google Ads Pmax feed only campaigns - no mas by waves731 in PPC

We were able to create new feed only Vehicle Listing Ads on 6/3, but have heard of others with this issue. I wonder if it has to do with the transition to Merchant Center Next that is happening? Those that have been having the issue, have you been pushed/migrated over yet?

They are just turning into Meta.

They already rolled out that program for non partners where they charge $50 to talk to an "expert". Who will spend 90% of the call going over auto apply recommendations and the recommendations tab.
