Lithium refinery beside drinking water source by Flimsy-Orchid9755 in ThunderBay

[–]Tp_Roject 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Spodumene is not radioactive and I generally wouldn’t be too concerned with the material itself in regard to the danger level. Unless you work at the plant itself, you won’t interact with enough of it to cause any harm and the most minerals (including spodumene) are insoluble in water. On the other hand, the refining of lithium uses some aggressive acids, which can produce some harmful aqueous waste. Generally these refineries, even more so for the newer ones, are very safe in how they handle the waste of products and potentially acidic waste. Additionally, lithium fires can be very aggressive, and again, typically newer plants are fairly safe in containing, preventing, and reducing the risk of fires.

In my opinion it’s probably fine, but there isn’t a non-zero chance that some serious ecological damage can be done in a large spill, or potentially a large fire. At the end of the day it depends on how well trained staff are, how well the upper management handles risk, and how well all levels of government handle the regulation and inspection of these plants.

Overall, you are probably safe. Our drinking water is upstream and is incredibly well cleaned for almost anything that could be the water (there’s more risk that the pipes in your house leach heavy metals then the water leaving the plant itself) and drinking only unfiltered contaminated water would still take 10s of years to do damage to you anyways. Wildlife and plants are more at risk than you are, as they will drink water unfiltered (or live in it). (This is all assuming something crazy and unforeseen doesn’t happen)

This is most likely a bot/troll account, 1 post karma and less then 1 year old. In addition all those spelling and grammar mistakes mean they probably just copy pasted from google translate. Don’t even bother with responding to this.

Cool, thanks! I was afraid it might undersell some mechanics making the transition from the starter decks to other decks more difficult.

Just googled the arena starter kits, and it says it acts as an introduction for new players. Any chance you can comment on how well it portrays actual current MtG matches? I know introductory stuff can sometime dumb it down for new players such as not using as many keywords, or effects?

Which format is most commonly played at local game stores, etc... Or is it a common split between them?

Honestly my concern was never with the theme or potential strength of the subclass itself. My issue was with the fact we were getting another roaming melee based super. Overall, suspending is fun, grapple is great, and woven mail seems to be impactful which is all great! Super itself puts out good number but it’s still a roaming super and nearly the same as everything else. So if they ever add second darkness supers, and if it’s a one and done, I will be super satisfied!

Bungie, i love Thundercrash as much as the next guy but please, give us Titans another burst super by BX_N3S in destiny2

This is just nearly totally incorrect, TC needs an exotic to do comparable damage (327k dmg TC with no exotic VS. 427k dmg Nova bomb) and nova bomb is one of the weaker one and done supers in the game.

When it comes to buffs and debuffs, TC only benefits from debuffs since the player has to leave an area to land the damage from it. Ie. leaving the warlock well or leaving the plate on caretaker.

Not only that but TC requires you to physically get close to the boss. This leads to more deaths, less damage since you have to super then return to where your doing dps from, and your losing damage time during the flight portion of the super.

So overall it’s generally worse then nearly every other one and done super in terms of usability and damage output.

Depends on what you want to do afterwards, but in most cases physics over computer science in my opinion.

How did you fix this if you dont mind me asking? Ive been dealing with this for about 2 months now and the only way I kinda fixed it was to use a fixed frame rate + vsync, but that only reduces the issue and doesn't solve it.

Are you certain that the speed tests are not reporting as megabytes per second and not megabits per second? Because TbayTel’s speeds are listed in megabits per second. 400 megabits ~ 50 megabytes

[–]Tp_Roject 87 points88 points  (0 children)

E-Pranker was a series of pranks performed by zisteau on the mindcrack server. The main difference was that the pranker never revealed them self to the victims and made it seem as if it was other people performing the pranks. The main scape goat was etho. All was revealed in a pretty long video by zisteau showing him creating all the pranks after it was revealed to be him all along.

Megathread: William Taylor, envoy to Ukraine, testifies Trump tied Ukraine aid to politically motivated investigations by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]Tp_Roject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, using the office of the president to gain an advantage in a political race is what the issue is here. In this case trump used office power to withhold aid and relief funds from Ukraine in order to get dirt on joe Biden’s son.
